Okay, so this season was actually great, for the most part. After a meh beggining, there was a amazing sequence of episodes and all the cast delivered wonderful perfomances (maybe not Lynch). I think is the best season for Borstein and Brosnahan was terrific as always. Kirby deserve to repeat a nomination and maybe even a win. There was some problems like the critics said, specially some supporting cast plot, but the tour was an vivid and amazing addition for the serie. It really is a delicious binge watch.December 15, 2019 at 7:54 pm #1203239011
Perfection. The scene between Angela and her grandpa it’s the definition about how important this series is. Beautiful finale.December 12, 2019 at 4:23 pm #1203234220
Watched two episodes. A good start, but a big let down from season 2 terrific firsts episodes. But everything still so beautiful.December 9, 2019 at 7:34 pm #1203228280
“The first half of “The Good Place’s” final season recently wrapped up, but it wasn’t good enough to land any nominations in the eyes of Globes voters.
Neither in my.
I don’t know if it’s an unpopular opinion, but this season isn’t great. It probably the worst.December 9, 2019 at 7:28 pm #1203228269
Easily the best episode. Great moments and Ruth Wilson was very good. I hope she can get a BAFTA nomination to impulse her in the award season.
At least deserve an Title Design and Music nominations (and maybe wins). The opening is totally awesome.December 9, 2019 at 12:39 pm #1203227618
Witherspoon got in for the wrong show. She plays Madeline Mackenzie much better than Bradley Jackson – at least in my opinion. I like TMS a lot, but I can’t believe this group considers it one of the five best dramas of the year. I mean…
Exactly. I watched 5 episodes and there is so many laughable moments and not in a good way, specially the awful Steve Carrel character and performance. There is an episode with Witherspoon in a bar and the only thing I could think watching was: she already saw a drunk person in her life? Aniston is the best part of the show, but there are more deserving actress.December 9, 2019 at 7:04 am #1203226636
Which ones are you specifically talking about? Because I’m talking about Catch-22, which is definitely underseen so I don’t know why people are making comments about it when half of them probably didn’t even watch it.
I think people are mad about Catch because WTSU was snubbed.December 9, 2019 at 6:42 am #1203226530
My least favorite thing about awards season is when people scold these awards shows for having basic, unexciting nominations, but when they finally do have different, unpredicted nominations people throw a fit because it was “their” favorite show that was snubbed lmao. Has anyone shading Catch-22 even seen Catch-22? How about we watch the nominees before commenting on whether they should have been nominated or not.
Also, it’s an awards show. It’s not the end of the world, people.
But there are different, unpredictable and GREAT nominations and these aren’tDecember 9, 2019 at 5:31 am #1203226036
I just can’t. This is ugly and gross.December 8, 2019 at 1:16 pm #1203224581
“Coup” was a lovely episode, specially Colman performance.December 8, 2019 at 12:00 am #1203222778
Forgive me but what does a “strong” character or the quality of the show have anything to do with King’s performance.
I’m glad lots of people are replying to me though – it’s good to see who are the folks who would not see that the emperor was naked.
I wasn’t talking about her performance when I said this. I was talking about you saying other actress would not get the same praise. Well, I don’t know with you know, but when you have a strong characters in a praised and beloved show, it is not that hard to get award and critic attention. So it isn’t so difficult to think that another good actress would be nominated and be mentioned in awards conversation.
The praise Watchmen is getting is huge and Regina is a essential part of the show. She is a 48 years old black lady doing a kick-ass character being in many moments the heart of the show. Of course she would get attention. She still have two episode to show to us her performance and the next seems a huge one for her. I just don’t understand your commentary, this is why I replied. You saying that you want a award season with King winning with a not so special performance, like it was the big injustice in an award season, when she is actually making an amazing job, for me it is bullshit.December 7, 2019 at 4:22 pm #1203222297
All I want is just one awards season where Regina King isn’t championed for a performance that wouldn’t even be on the radar if it was given by anyone else but because it’s her is heralded as some kind of nuanced masterwork
So you will be happy when she win this time. Because no way a good actress playing Angela Abar would not be on radar. It’s a strong lead role in one of the most praised show of the year. King deserved to win for American Crime the first time and I agree she didn’t in the second one and for Seven Seconds. But I didn’t understand why specifically calling for this when she is giving a great performance and probably will have an even better episode this Sunday.
