EW: “The show is expensive-looking but not hollow. There’s a humanity to the characters that is often lacking in comic book adaptations, due in large part to the exceptional cast, including Regina King, Jeremy Irons, and Don Johnson. Hardcore fans will have to make up their own minds, but this novice is intrigued.”September 12, 2019 at 1:40 pm #1203071483
I’m going to have to make a confession: I actually think Zendaya is pretty great in “Euphoria.” I’ve only seen two episodes, but she’s been thoroughly natural and believable in this role, which I didn’t expect at all. I thought she was going to ham it up since it is her first big (serious) dramatic role – but her performance is actually very subtle and I love it. She isn’t in the same league of Nicole Kidman, Olivia Colman and Elisabeth Moss – so an Emmy nod is really not in the picture IMO – but I won’t riot if she gets a Globe nom.
Wait for the last episodes. She was incredible in episode 7 and deserve to be nominated. Praying for directing and cinematography nominations for the show too.
Source? Need to see this

Ew about Modern Love: “Modern Love feels like vintage Woody Allen — without all the creepy baggage.”September 11, 2019 at 12:28 am #1203068834September 9, 2019 at 1:39 pm #1203066075
I don’t know what category Dark Crystal is eligible, but I fall in love with this show as soon I finished the pilot. Watched four episodes until now and it is incredible.September 6, 2019 at 9:41 am #1203060796
“Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth! Killed me! Constantly. Season 3 is awesome. The battles between Elizabeth/Margaret – Olivia/Helena are awesome, you will jump from the sofa and give applauses for both.” – Ana Maria Bahiana
She finished the season and said it was the best yet, praised the “extraordinary” writting and Benjamin Caron’s directing.September 2, 2019 at 9:57 am #1203053387
I agree with this. Westworld is a very well-regarded show, which is why it gets 20+ nominations every year (and will probably get around that number next year as well), but it wins very little because it’s too niche. I know A LOT of people who absolutely loathe it. And if you didn’t like or understand seasons 1 and 2, I doubt you will feel different about S3. So calling this the alternative to The Crown just sounds like personal bias to me and not a realistic prediction. My guess it that the alternative will actually be a new show, and not one of the returnees. And Handmaid’s will be back, with nominations in the double digits.
Well, The Handmaids Tale and Westworld received the same amount of nominations and wins for their second seasons. So in my opinion they are equally now.
If Westworld season 3 have a less complex narrative, like the showrunners said, and get praised by critics and audience, so it can have more chances next year.September 1, 2019 at 8:09 pm #1203052542
Well it’s in the eye of the beholder obviously. She turns up when the plot has not really been about her, has punchy one liners and leaves an impact. That’s the definition of a scene stealer.
Well, the awful writting of her cringes scenes has really a scene stealer. I enjoyed the season more than some people here, but her scenes really bothered me.September 1, 2019 at 1:54 pm #1203052299
Anyone think Michael Kelly can win? He’s been nominated four seasons in a row and did have a pretty pivotal role in the final season. Surely the voters are over awarding Dinklage and maybe the Better Call Saul guys cancel each other out?
So Alfie or Nikolaj for the win.
