Please lets not bring the Licorice Pizza controversy discourse back. Its exhausting. I thought that was forgotten about a while ago.

BAFTA loved Licorice Pizza. Its win means nothing. And WGA means nothing since so many films are ineligible.

Why would it win when its  such a divisive film. Shouldn’t they wait for PTA to make a film that most people like.

You guys are so funny thinking that Pizza will be winning an Oscar for PTA. BAFTA means nothing considering they liked the film better than any American award counterpart.

Power of the Dog is still inaccessible to mainstream audiences. My friends and family hated it. Half of them didn’t finish it and the ones who did are baffled as to why this is an Oscar nominated film.

Keep in mind these same people enjoyed Parasite.

I think Dog is OK but much prefer the novel.

PTA will lose screenplay and when he comes back in 5 years or so with another film he will fully ride the overdue narrative

It seems like a lot of people hate LP. Why did it get all these guild nominations when nobody seems to like it all that much.

There is no way Anderson has any chance at getting in at DGA. He’s only been nominated once. And I really don’t think he gets in at the Oscars. Pizza will barely get nominated for anything

There is no way Pizza gets in for director and certainly not actress.

I can’t wait until Pizza is quickly forgotten about (its not going to get several Oscar nominations) and we can stop talking about this exhausting controversy.

But then again I’m not looking for ward to it since Inherent Vice is an awful incompetently made film and The Master is a non movie with a 1st draft of a script.

What category will Licorice Pizza not get into that everybody assumes it will be nominated for?

I’m starting to disbelieve that Anderson gets into director especially if the racism accusations intensify.
