Still not convinced LP is getting into Picture or anything else but screenplay. Remember all we have heard so far is from is from film twitter and the people who are selling out theater are Anderson stans. Lets see what the academy thinks.

I predict Licorice Pizza will maybe get into original screenplay and nowhere else.

Yes if they don’t expand the role he’s barely in it. He has one monologue in the book and then is barely in the first half which is the only part of the book that character is in

I feel like the reviews for Licorice Pizza are trying not to say the quiet part loud which is that its entirely plotless and arty.

Here is my guess for Pizza. People will find it to be a very enjoyable, funny, and maybe accessible mainstream film but I’m predicting maybe a screenplay nod for it but mostly it will be crowded out by the heavy weight hitters this year.

What’s frustrating about The Tender Bar is that its a great heartwarming accessible book and even a just pretty good director could at least pull off a very good film. I just don’t trust Clooney as a director.
