Does anyone know at what time the Critics Choice nominations will be announced?
Dont even talk about it. I’m going to sleep, wake up, going to work then at my break time I’ll check it up.
It’s 3:16am here, if I start thinking about it, i won’t sleep and I won’t be productive tomorrow.December 9, 2018 at 6:09 pm #1202695957
Y’all been acting like Gaga is the Favourite lol.
We’ve read critics about her performance, Although she’s really good, not a single big media ( LA Times, etc..) said she was Oscar worthy. It’s all about the hype, the fans, the blogs etc…
Now the awards shows will follow the hype but if she was the undeniable champion I think she would have swept.
Don’t get too confident. It hurts more.December 9, 2018 at 6:02 pm #1202695954
This Bitch of Olivia Colman still can loose over Emily Blunt. It’s Emily Blunt playing Mary Poppins for God’s sake.December 9, 2018 at 4:29 pm #1202695889
Close has a legacy even if she doesn’t win. She has 3 ICONIC Roles (101 Dalmatians, Dangerous Liaisons, and Fatal Attraction) plus pother his films. She is a 3 time Emmy winner. Two time Tony winner. She is a well achieved actress. There is nothing wrong with there being a female O’Toole.
I think she still has a chance to win though.
It pleases me.December 9, 2018 at 4:01 pm #1202695875
I’m not worried about Close.
Sony Pictures Classics Know what they doing. Still Alice was distributed by them and the movie wasn’t in the BP contenders.
Still Moore, overdue, and sole nomination for her movie, managed to win the Oscar. If Close doesn’t win… well that’s okay.

It’s my opinion and you will disagree with me but Toni Collette will not be nominated for the Oscar. I feel very certain that the critics be damned where it comes to her snooze-worthy performance, five other actresses will be nominated and not her this year. (It would be a travesty if she took one of those five slots).
Don’t be afraid baby.
Glenn is la force tranquille.
These critics awards doesn’t mean a Thing,
Look who won for BS actor… a guy no with no chances to get a simple nod for the Oscars.December 9, 2018 at 12:58 pm #1202695517
Regina King is a highly overrated.
But that’s good, since they always want a poC for Best Supporting.December 9, 2018 at 11:28 am #1202695333
From Now, I got 8 actresses still in the race for the 5 slots.
And the others that will fight to fit in:
Gaga : it’s the Academy, they don’t care about the blogs, the fans etc.. don’t forget they genuinely snubbed Madonna for Évita, She was a big deal at the time (just as popular as Gaga, even more popular I’d say) they can snub Gaga for ASIB, just as they can nominate her. Let’s not forget that it doesn’t matter how much she’s good in it, she’s not challenging herself enough since she’s a singer so the singing part couldn’t be wrong. She can act but is it enough to nominate her instead of better actresses, and most importantly will they nominated her twice in one night? She will likely win for the song so that’s a good reason for her to come at the show.
For me she’s clearly not a lock, but she’s the most likely to sneak in among my <<outsiders >>
Toni Collette : She really can make the Surprise here. I mean the critics groups are pushing her so it’s not impossible. Plus her in the game will make the competition somehow interesting, talking about the diversity.
Yalitza : She will need some luck. Someone said they will include 1 poC and, I’m sorry Luca but Aparicio is more likely to happen than Viola.
Emily Blunt : of course there is the question <Emily Blunt>. Never been nominated but been serving good to great performances. Here’s she took on an iconic character, She seems to do no wrongs and critics apparently liked enough, She really can sneak in. Depends on her campaign. The probability of her happening is high. However a snub is not totally impossible considering the crowded year we’re in.
Melissa McCarthy : it doesn’t matter if she has been snubbed by these critic groups, she still can be nominated, she has her chances however, she’s clearly the weakest, her globe nod being the first she received.
