Excited for this. I liked Marlon in Requiem. Maybe this’ll be his time to shine.

Speaking only from the point of view of my community, we have 0 case for weeks now. People are desperate to go back to the regular rhythm of things, even if it means having temperature checks, wearing masks, etc.
So when the theater reopens, I’m definitely watching whatever new movie is gonna be out.

Andy Serkis for Gollum and Caesar, and Scarlett for Her are the two that popped up in my head immediately. I guess voicing multiple characters in one movie will give one an edge over others??

Lord of the Rings, but maybe because I had to analyze it to death for my high school paper.

SPOILERS. I guess.
I finally finished this….. and I love it. LMAO. Once the focus moves away from feeling like a lecture and starts feeling more like a movie (when they finally got to their gold and their leader), I really enjoyed it. I also disliked the idea of a big bad being introduced so late in the movie, but I didn’t really mind that so much. I just really disliked that slow first act. I hated moments in the editing where a hug has happened and then they hug again in the next shot. It was cringy. And it happened a few times too.
But I love the performances. Give Lindo all the awards. I think he can compete (and win… but we haven’t seen anybody else yet) in the Lead category. It felt like he was the central character of the story tbh.
Anyway, good luck to this movie. Hope it survives the loooooooooong road to the Oscars.

I’m not done watching Da 5 Bloods yet because this kind of storytelling isn’t really my cup of tea, but Delroy Lindo is ferocious in this film. So far, definitely a supporting player though.

Here’s to wishing they go back to nominating these outliers more often. I would hate skipping over some performances just because they’re not in a buzzy movie, or with a strong lead performer.

Seems like it hasn’t happened in a while though.

Can you imagine if the MTV Movie Awards become a precursor? Lmfao.
Heard they’re moving the awards to December.

Can more people suggest 2007 songs because that’s when High School Musical put up its whole catalog for nomination and only 2 songs got nominated (none from that movie) lmao. Savage.
Off the top of my head…
Gangsta from Suicide Squad
Hellfire from Hunchback
One from Magnolia
Lucky Manuelo from Everybody’s Famous
Prom Tonight from Not Another Teen Movie (lolllllllllll… but for real)
Sidenote: I really hate songs playing at the end of the movie. Like wtf. Cheat.

Somebody said Prince of Egypt and I love it. I really wish if they do, they flesh out the brotherhood more since I don’t buy that these two went from brothers to enemies that quick because God.
Anyway my answer is Rocky Horror. Lol.
