I’m not usually into US comedy but this one really hooked me. Jean Smart it’s just… a goddess, what a woman! Hannah Einbinder pulling her stand up abilities, she’s pretty natural, and of course these two have a captivating chemistry. Took me like two days to devour the whole first season, my fav eps was definitely the 5th and 6th. The second season remains good but the part about the UFC fight and Deborah plot there got me like wtf I just watched lol. I’m about to catch up this week episodes!

we could have had it all ♪
April 10, 2022 at 3:14 pm #1204911592I’m so mad with the finale, it just bad writing. Villanelle deserved better 😠 but well, I’m so grateful to Jodie, Sandra and the cast for their excellent work through these years. They managed to keep an insane chemistry regardless the changeable screenwriters in every season.
ReplyMarch 30, 2022 at 1:14 am #1204889547This is now her 4th consecutive nomination in this category and her 5th overall. Only Francesca Annis, Judi Dench, Helen Mirren and Julie Walters have more and none of them received four consecutive nods.
yeah she only missed the 2018 year, I don’t know but that’s pretty iconic considering she’s a young actress just with 29.
ReplyMarch 16, 2022 at 3:50 pm #1204854698HBO won among the 14 bidders… phew. This limited series looks promising, she’s the lead and also the executive producer. I’m so glad for her!
ReplyMarch 3, 2022 at 2:53 pm #1204830040Hoping for the next episodes to be more entertaining. First one was low paced, the second one was better and Jodie nailed the Jesus alter ego of Villanelle.
ReplyJanuary 14, 2022 at 7:11 pm #1204728493She really is. It’s my favorite 2021 performance. It’s a shame that awards events are about popularity and not always about quality. She was phenomenal as Marguerite and I hope she gets more opportunities. Fingers crossed she signs up for something once she’s done with her play. I also think one big underrated thing about her performance is how different she had to act with the three chapters. That was challenging and she did a great job.
Yeah, Jodie in several interviews had said she commonly pursuit to do roles that are out of her comfort zone as an actress. Like for example working on her first and incoming play in the West End and not having experience of it. She has sold out the whole thing, huge for her.
