Is this still in development? Was thinking about this and it would be a great step forward for GD.December 3, 2019 at 7:19 am #1203213406
Haven’t seen most of the movies I think will populate my nominations (Marriage Story, Parasite, Bombshell), but as of now I’ll have the Lighthouse virtually everywhere. Criminally underrated movie.November 20, 2019 at 7:53 am #1203191915
I agree that this comes down to Ariana v. Billie, but this seems like the kind of category that Ariana would take while Billie takes AOTY. Judging by the random “boyfriend” nomination, the pop voters are really liking Ariana. Billie’s appeal is more cross-genre, so it would make sense for her to take AOTY while Ariana, with strong pop support, takes BPVA.November 19, 2019 at 9:40 pm #1203189249
Does anybody know why the powers that be don’t open the predictions center for the Grammy genre categories in the nomination stage? Just wondering.September 26, 2019 at 3:40 pm #1203106087
Ariana’s team submitting 7 Rings to Pop Solo… the sabotage…August 18, 2019 at 6:53 am #1203028660
Not true. If she pulls it off, I’ll gain mad respect for her. The reason I’m not a fan, is because I don’t see her as a true artist. She isn’t a songwriter or producer. She has no artistry in her work. Her music videos are always commercial and boring. She’s no different than Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez. She just has more appeal.
If she proves herself as a songwriter, I’ll definitely change my mind about her and have more respect for her. I always respect true artists whether I like them or not. I’m not a fan of Billie for example, but I can at least appreciate her sense of artistry.
You’re “not a fan” but you’re one of the most active people on this forum… How that work? 🗿August 17, 2019 at 8:59 am #1203027885
Again, nobody is saying Ariana Grande is a master writer. But y’all put the MOST effort to shit on her and it has proven by COUNTLESS people around her that Ariana is thoroughly involved in the writing process. I’m sure she could pull a Speak Now and write an entire album on her own and y’all would still trash her so I don’t see why you’re in an Ariana Grande forum. Wasting time imoAugust 16, 2019 at 10:10 am #1203026540
Just putting this here for all the people who say she just goes in the studio and makes “minor changes.” https://twitter.com/savan_kotecha/status/1162406017134747655?s=21July 8, 2019 at 7:02 am #1202965725
Since when the voters are into rewarding flop projects? They didn’t vote for a better album (Rep), so why would they do for Lover? Two singles came and went. Nobody remembers ME! already. She tried to hype on LGBT with YNTCD music video, but that failed too. Her only hope for a nomination is only if she sells well. Personally I have Ariana winning two times in a row. Billie for AOTY.
No way Ariana wins Pop Vocal and Billie wins AotY. I don’t think either of them will win AotY because they’ll pull from a lot of the same voters. But also, Billie is more likely to win Pop Vocal this year considering WWAFA,WDWG? is showing more longevity than TU,N, and the voters will probably feel like Ariana has already been rewarded for this prolonged 2018/2019 era, and pass on her for Billie.July 8, 2019 at 6:57 am #1202965716
Taylor isn’t winning. The better question at this point is if she will even be nominated. If you don’t have her in either Pop Solo or Duo/Group, that might be telling.
Fair point. Hoping for Ariana or Billie; ideally Ariana would win Pop Solo and Billie would win Pop Vocal. Both are feasible, but Ariana winning Pop Solo (if she submits TU,N) seems more likely.July 8, 2019 at 6:35 am #1202965673

This forum became “let’s all watch M try to explain, for the second year in a row, why Ariana Grande is certain to lose even though the nominations are 7 months away.”
Anyways, one thing is certain, females will dominate this category again: Taylor and Ariana are almost guaranteed two nominations each, Billie and Halsey guaranteed at least one, most likely two.
-thank u, next
-When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (WIN)
-thank u, next (WIN)
-bury a friend (I think she’ll submit this)
-Dancing With a Stranger

No way Ariana submits 7 Rings over TU,N in any category. She’s already stated that TU,N is the most important song she’s even written in terms of her own growth. If anything, if she wants to broaden her genre range she’ll submit 7 Rings to Rap/Sung and Imagine/Needy to R&B categories, but I doubt either of those would work. She’ll submit TU,N for ROTY, SOTY, and Pop Solo, and will certainly be a threat in Pop Solo.
