I’m really hoping Cynthia Erivo wins Best Actress next year, I’ve been a big fan of hers for awhile now my gut is telling me she’s gonna do it.
I think the fact that she’d be the youngest and fastest person ever to EGOT will give a huge boost to her campaign, and I’m excited to see how it’s all going to play out.December 8, 2018 at 3:34 am #1202694110
any chance Chloe x Halle could upset in best urban contemporary? Everything Is Love was good but definitely not as strong as either of their solo worksNovember 26, 2018 at 10:38 am #1202682287
I wish Cynthia Erivo had a larger part in the film, I loved her in Bad Times at the El Royale. She did well in this role but it wasn’t a scene-stealing performance either.November 26, 2018 at 10:33 am #1202682282
If Toni Colette doesn’t at least get nominated for Best Actress I’m gonna be so disappointed… easily one of the most memorable performances of the year for me.November 26, 2018 at 10:26 am #1202682271
I was really hoping Chloe X Halle were gonna be nominated but it’s looking unlikely 🙁November 26, 2018 at 10:25 am #1202682269
How is Troye Sivan eligible for this award when he released his second album?
Here are the BNA rules:
“An artist, duo or group must have released a minimum of five singles/tracks or one album (defined as an EP of five tracks or more) by the close of the qualifying year and no more than 30 singles/tracks or three albums over their career. If an artist exceeds those sums by even one song, he or she is disqualified.”November 26, 2018 at 10:15 am #1202682257
It really depends if Golden Hour can win From A Room Vo.2 at the CMA’s. BUT If Golden Hour gets an AOTY Nom and Chris Stapleton does not then that’s an automatic win in Country Album at the Grammys next year for Kacey
Not necessarily. Childish Gambino was nominated for AOTY yet he still lost to The Weeknd in Best Urban Contemporary. I really hope Kacey wins though

So disappointed about the In a Hearbeat snub. Wasn’t positive it could win but I was sure it would at least get nominated. 🙁December 12, 2017 at 12:26 pm #1202437956

We know that SZA’s filmed a music video for The Weekend, and I think she’s planning to release it soon after her SNL performance this weekend. If she does the song will be fresh in everyone’s mind when voting comes around and I think she’ll have a good shot at this award.
