I can’t find a definition of “guest performer” in their rules. I don’t get how Chris Diamontopoulos is a guest when he was in 50% of Ghostwriter‘s episodes that aired.

Pam & Tommy should 100% be disqualified here. This episode of Pam & Tommy is set in May 1996. There’s literally a title card at the start. The rules say the episode must be set on or after January 1, 25 years before from the current year. That would be January 1, 1997. That’s why they’re nominated for period/character hairstyling and makeup awards. The Pose finale was mostly set in 1998 and absolutely qualified.

Seriously though, how is this nomination eligible as contemporary? Does anyone know how to make sure the TV Academy has been made aware?

It was Barb Wire premiere episode they submitted. It was mostly in 1996-97 which just falls under the less than 25 years = contemporary rule. See Pose last year.

Apparently Variety Special (Live) will just have 3 nominees

There were more than 20 submissions so there will be 5.

The full list of predictions from Clayton Davis at Variety are very disappointing. The number of nominees for countless categories are incorrect and there several other errors (e.g. no multi-camera sitcom in comedy directing). I’m surprised a major entertainment news outlet didn’t do more thorough research.

    From Parade:

Paramount+ picked up additional episodes of 1883 but there has been no official season 2 pickup. When we asked Paramount to clarify, all they would say is, “There’s more 1883 coming.”

Does anyone know how 1883 is eligible for limited series? They’ve literally said more episodes are coming and officially ordered additional eps.

Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere and I missed it.

Correct. All the episode title cards are in their reel. It’s good work, but I’m rooting for Good Lord Bird or Queen’s Gambit.

Just a heads up to anyone curious, WandaVision submitted their end titles in the main title design category and the ‘80s theme song from “On a Very Special Episode…” in main title theme music.
