Okay so there isn’t backlash to Taylor’s noms and you are the only one who’s upset about Cardigan in BPSP?
Seriously, are you guys getting paid by Taylor’s team to infest forums and steer conversations away from the main question/point? That’s some very impressive brand management and I want in!
Y’all always miss the point because you see any type of comment that isn’t 100% glowing about her and you attack. I said many times I didn’t think they’d nominate her again because she’d already won twice but that I still saw it as a possibility and I would understand it. My issue isn’t with Taylor being in, it’s with the blatant path-clearing that was done to help her. All I said was y’all should acknowledge that she has the easiest path to her nominations among almost every artist as long as the work is decent and you took it as me saying she didn’t deserve to get nominated. Since folklore is decent and therefore justified in AOTY, the best example this year is cardigan, which just shouldn’t have gotten nominations. Last time it was Lover getting a pop vocal nomination and the time before that it was reputation getting one.November 25, 2020 at 7:37 am #1203871635
Alright then can you show us proof that there’s backlash against Taylors nom? I’ve seen lots to the Weeknd snub but I haven’t seen anyone truly upset that a universally liked album did well at the grammys.
I said IF SHE WINS there will be backlash because everyone is going to be reminded of Abel’s snub. I SAID folklore was JUSTIFIED. Do capital letters make it easier to understand?November 25, 2020 at 7:32 am #1203871611
lmao girl you’re the one with no real argument. if Taylor is only nominated cause of white privilege why isn’t harry anywhere to be found in the GF? he’s white as well. u haven’t said one logic statement during this whole one day rant. at least Gucci is funny sometimes you’re just completely unbearable and let your hate for Taylor get in the way of acknowledging she got her noms cause folklore is a great project. please move on Taylor isn’t the reason The Weeknd got 0 nominations like you’re claiming.
”folklore was justified in AOTY” WHERE did I say it was only white privileged that got her in? Please try a little harder to sound somewhat coherent. Y’all need to go outside more if you think I’m the only person making this argument outside of a swift-infested forum.November 25, 2020 at 7:19 am #1203871560
even the other harry stans here find you aggravating but ok i’m annoying lmao. You’ve been crying about Taylor having white privilege for a whole day now but why didn’t that “white privilege” carry harry into AOTY? Why’s it so hard for you to accept Taylor got a nomination cause she put out a great body of work. Please take a break from this forum you could use it and so could all of us.
Yes because I care soooo much about what 2 Harry fans on a random website think of me. They were scared he wouldn’t get any nominations and didn’t want me “setting him up” anyway. You know there’s only 8 AOTY slots right? Not every white musician can get in off white privilege because there’s more than 8 of them. The lack of ability to form any sort of real argument is so sad. And I’ve still not seen one of you be able to admit your favorite artist has white privilege, and definitely has privilege with these award shows. Lol.November 25, 2020 at 7:08 am #1203871506
why doesn’t moriah face answer my question about why harry doesn’t benefit from white privilege and only Taylor does? I’m curious, is it cause he wears tutus?
God you’re so annoying. I said I feel lucky that Harry got nominated at all after what happened to The Weeknd and AOTY. It’s really not difficult for me to acknowledge that Harry absolutely benefits from white privilege, because I’m not an idiot.November 25, 2020 at 7:05 am #1203871481
i already said what i wanted to you, which you haven’t replied to btw but it’s clear everyone in the forum has apt rebuttals for every one of your silly arguments. the only one who looks like they’re getting paid for being up Harry’s queer baiting ass is you.
I know they’ve lost the argument when they think a human can queer bait. Do some research, your hatred for him has been exposed.November 25, 2020 at 7:03 am #1203871461
Um you said multiple times that he would beat Billie because she wasn’t Adele. If you want, I can link to where you said it. You brought up Watermelon Sugar winning BPSP. I said it wouldn’t happen because there were three songs clearly more appealing then it. Even if two of those missed, one still got in. And Dua surprising in BPDG means she’s now ahead of Harry. My original point stays the same, Watermelon Sugar is not coming close to winning BPSP
There’s another hoop! They’re everywhere. I said he had a chance to win because BL and Circles are not guaranteed. I never said he would win. That stands. Do you think I care that he might go home empty-handed? I didn’t even know if he’d get nominated due to his boyband past. Now he’s a 3x Grammy nominee and his future work is going to be taken seriously off the bat, rather than retroactively, which is what happened with Fine Line. I’m chillin.November 25, 2020 at 6:58 am #1203871437
Literally why is moriahface so pressed lol Harry’s reward was his nominations coming for other artists won’t make him win sweetie
I like how y’all resort to saying people are “pressed” when they present an argument and you have nothing to respond with. I get that it’s a nice little safety word to fall back on when you run out of things to say but it’s quite obvious.November 25, 2020 at 6:53 am #1203871407
Actually you can check Bozs prediction game, Cardigan was always in my lineup. I even had Kelly Clarkson as 6th, so no it was not solely based off of charts. That’s great and all, but Harry still stands zero chance here. Billies clearly the new grammy darling so I wish him luck in beating her
Where exactly did I say he’d beat Billie? You’re the one who was dead wrong about WS being ahead of Circles & now you’re changing the conversation. The hoops y’all will jump through to avoid stating the obvious is really quite impressive. Are you getting paid or something? If so, I want in.November 25, 2020 at 6:44 am #1203871368
Oh yeah because you predicted the Blinding Lights and Circles snub. And regardless, I was saying Billie would beat Harry even if those 2 songs failed to. I still am saying that. And what narrative? The narrative that BPSP rules say nothing about chart performance? Because like, it says nothing about chart performance and that’s a fact whether you like it or not
Nobody predicted the Abel snub, but I did say that the song was capable of losing the category, which clearly it was. Then I heard non stop about Circles being the undeniable second choice as “the 5th biggest song ever blah blah blah” and it wasn’t even nominated. You literally made your lineup and winners in this category based on how big the song was, so clearly you know exactly what I’m talking about. cardigan in there is a shame.November 25, 2020 at 6:38 am #1203871356
just cause u don’t know most of the albums doesn’t make it bad lmao, the lineup is actually pretty good this year and if u bothered to listen to the albums instead of just crying about Taylor being nominated u would have known that. 2 days ago u were saying the BRP would block her and now they’re clearing up paths for her to win, ugh which is it?
As if I didn’t just say folklore was justified in AOTY right? Look, I know you guys desperately want Taylor to be oppressed, but it’s just never going to happen. I thought that maybe the BRP had finally made its way out of her butt, but I was wrong. They’re still up there.November 25, 2020 at 6:31 am #1203871317
moriahface why are u only speaking about Taylor? Where’s the outrage for Dua, HAIM, Jacob, and Coldplay? You’re just finding ways to attack Taylor cause u don’t like her and are upset she got nominated. She has nothing to do with The Weeknd not getting nominated, please move on.
I said it’s possibly the worst AOTY lineup ever. Does that not include the other nominees? But the truth is that the path was cleared for Taylor, nobody else. Admit it and accept it.November 25, 2020 at 6:29 am #1203871303
Well actually last year Beyoncé did get a nomination in Best Pop Solo performance over one of the biggest hits ever. What a pop solo nominee is supposed to do: a solo performance pop recording (vocal and instrumental) and is limited to singles or tracks only What Cardigan is: a solo performance pop recording (vocal and instrumental) and is limited to singles or tracks only
Didn’t you laugh in my face for saying Watermelon Sugar could win BPSP by claiming that Blinding Lights winning it was the biggest lock of the night and if by some chance he didn’t it would go to Circles? But from what I saw yesterday, WS actually has the best chance to win it out of those three, doesn’t it? You’re changing your tune real quick to the technical aspects of the category now that it fits your narrative. Lol.November 25, 2020 at 6:21 am #1203871280
I said it in the past and i am saying it again. Cardigan is one of the finest song of the year and it deserves its nominations. Ok it tanked on charts, so did black parade, i can’t breathe and others. Why don’t @moriahface say about this?
Were Black Parade and I Can’t Breathe voted for over Blinding Lights and Circles, 2 of the biggest songs of all time, in pop solo performance? I said cardigan didn’t do what pop solo nominees are supposed to do. The deflection is hilarious.
