I’d be Happy with this:
Song of the Year: Blinding Lights
Record of the Year: Don’t Start Now
Album of the year: ChromaticaMay 29, 2020 at 12:53 pm #1203507786
Lol Lady Gaga can easily destroy The WeekND. She has more seniority than him in the general field, this would be her fourth Album of the Year nod, she’s been consistent nominations and wins throughout her decade long career, she just needs the longevity. I feel like y’all are overeating The WeekND has he really been that favored in the General field?May 29, 2020 at 11:19 am #1203507562
I think think this year Pop will dominate in the Album of the year category. There will be blood.
I can see several pop albums making it in.
Future Nostalgia – Dua Lipa
Chromatica – Lady Gaga
After Hours – The Weeknd
Hollywood’s Bleeding – Post Malone
Fine Line – Harry Styles
Fetch the Bolt Cutters – Fiona Apple
YHLQMDLG – Bad Bunny
Slow Rush – Tame Impala
If Gaga gets into AOTY she’s winning.May 29, 2020 at 10:44 am #1203507463
I will say Lyrically this is a very weak album. Probably her worst. In terms of writing Born This Way and Joanne were her peak.May 29, 2020 at 10:05 am #1203507369
I need Miss Rona to hurry up and be over already. A Chromatica II + 911 Video is what is needed in this world!May 29, 2020 at 9:01 am #1203507308
Crazy how hearing Chromatica in its entirety changed my opinion on her first singles. The songs on this album really don’t work well as singles. You really have to listen to them as they flow on the record. ROM definitely grew on me, I’m still not the biggest fan of SL but I don’t find myself skipping it when I listen. SC is just trash I’m just not here for KPOP. I hate listening to music In a different language.
1. Chromatica I Alice
2. Chromatica II 911
3. Chromatica III Sine From Above
4. Fun Tonight
6. Free Woman
7. 1000 Doves
8. Rain on Me
10. Stupid Love
Kill it With Fire
11. Plastic Doll
13. Sour CandyMay 29, 2020 at 2:15 am #1203506962
I enjoyed Chromatica more than I thought I would. I’ll have to give it a few more listens in order to form a better opinion. I thought the use of intros and interludes was a smart idea, they work so well with a dance record like this. Alice was a standout instantly, I think it might be my favorite! SL and ROM work better on the record than they do as singles. I love the first first half of the album. Chromatica II + 911 is a great moment in the record it sounds like an actual sci-fi epic, they did a good job with the production. I wouldn’t t be surprised if this nabbed Best Engineered Album. The rest of the middle of the album was kind of meh and forgettable (like i said I’ll need to listen again). I loved everything after Chromatica III Syn From Above absolutely slaps It’s classic twisted Gaga which I love! 1000 Doves and Babylon where great closers. Honestly I don’t see anything else from the album being a hit. I think Rain on Me is the most radio friendly of the tracks. I don’t think this is the type of music the general public will like. But us gays are living.May 28, 2020 at 8:42 pm #1203506564
He is the biggest pop star right now. Us gays don’t like him but we have to be honest. He’s the biggest streaming force and he still has 0 Grammy’s. They don’t seem to like him, but they may feel like he deserves some recognition, especially when his main competition is someone who is pretty close to tying Adele already (as in has won enough grammys).
Im Gay and I like Posty.May 28, 2020 at 5:48 pm #1203506367
I honestly don’t know why y’all find post Malone to be a threat. It’s not like he’s an Adele or Taylor, he hasn’t even won, his music is not music that gets rewarded by by the academy. He’s also a stoner drunk. I love me some Posty and and I’d open my busy wide for him but I don’t see him as a threat at all.May 28, 2020 at 2:38 pm #1203506117

Yet, he is about to have a second while Dua Lipa has zero.
sweetheart! Number ones mean nothing. Specially those today that are decided by Tik Tok and Genz. Missy Elliot, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan James Brown, Never had a number ones, does that make them any less of a successful artist? Dua’s longevity in the top 10 is far more successful than topping the charts with forgetful trash songs.
