I only see a path for Snook to get that deserved win at the moment. Most shows that exploded in acting nominations (GoT S8, WTSU, THT S2) couldn’t manage multiple wins so this would be in line with that. I do hope at least Cox manages to win as well though.
The more time I spend looking at these nominations the more frustrated I am with how bad and seemingly random they are in general. Even for shows I’m rooting for. Like I love Succession but that Braun nomination was beyond unnecessary and undeserving. Watchmen gets five acting nominations but Chau and Nelson aren’t a part of them?
Critics were really passionate about Unorthodox. The fact that something like LFE, which had a much softer reception got in over it is obviously not good for it. I don’t think there’s any way you can ignore that. Not to mention someone like Ruffalo in a show with middling reviews got nominated over Haas, whom all the critics who had watched the…[Read more]
TMS was a complete mess. This show literally had Hannah as a background character with almost zero focus or character development for the first seven episodes until she needed to be the victim. Nominating a performer from a show that has multiple…[Read more]

Why did I think this thread was about the drama series contenders?💀
Agreed but they do need to look into writing better stories for their handful of PoC cast members and not treat them as an afterthought. Creating a more diverse writers room should be the first step as mentioned.
Barry was the potential runner-up in both directing (consecutive DGA wins + considerably less of a vote-split than Maisel) and writing, got the most major nominations for a comedy that year, got its entire cast nominated, was the only comedy apart from Fleabag that was nominated in every category that is needed to win under the current system and…[Read more]
Apparently, the Peabody updated their website without officially announcing the winners first:
David Makes Man (OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network)
Dickinson (Apple TV+)
Fleabag (Amazon Prime)
Stranger Things (Netflix)
When They See Us (Netflix)
The nominees that didn’t…[Read more]
