As I understand, next year Part II will not be eligible for Drama Series but it will be for Directing, Writing, Acting?
it won’t be eligible for any above the line categories. Only below the line (technical) categories

Here’s hoping they’re nominated for SAG ensemble
ReplyJuly 11, 2022 at 9:31 pm #1205009962I thought about it and rationalised Brown missing last time meant she wasn’t necessarily that strong in the first place.
I don’t think Millie missed for S3 because she wasn’t as strong. Most actually felt S3 was her strongest season. IMO it was more the timing of the release
July 4, 2022 at 10:44 pm #1205003750Finn Wolfhard is hilariously bad…
That’s why I said first season where I thought he was excellent. Season 2 was also quite good. All the others though have been consistently good all seasons
ReplyJuly 4, 2022 at 10:35 pm #1205003742All of the kids from Stranger Things, at least for the first season. And especially Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven – I don’t think any other 10-11 year old would be able to pull off what she was able to do with that character
ReplyJune 16, 2022 at 7:28 am #1204985354It is an in house Netflix production.
Oh I didn’t know that! Assumed they bought it. Thanks!
ReplyJune 16, 2022 at 5:42 am #1204985213There’s still quite a few UK/Ireland productions as well as Australian/New Zealand that have the same problem, and Netflix are lucky Squid Game and Lupin met US awards criteria (as opposed to some other South Korean/French shows they have the international rights to). I’m not entirely certain for instance if Derry Girls is Emmys eligible.
How did Squid Game make eligibility?
ReplyJune 3, 2022 at 7:09 am #1204971567Reviews overall seem to be weaker than Season 3, but fan reception appears to be better than Season 3, which most fans disliked.
Actually, if you look at the average ratings on RT, it’s rating pretty much on par with season 2&3 with critics, and the audience score is up there with season 1
ReplyMay 31, 2022 at 10:29 pm #1204969095Why is Winona Ryder listed under supporting in the predictions centre? Has her category placement changed?
May 27, 2022 at 4:36 pm #1204965694Don’t know if it’s any indication of who they’re really pushing, but they’re having 8 actors at the FYC thing tonight, and that’s not including Millie Bobby Brown who I’m sure was invited and possibly just can’t make it: David Harbour, “Jim Hopper” Winona Ryder, “Joyce Byers” Noah Schnapp, “Will Byers” Sadie Sink, “Max Mayfield” Natalia Dyer, “Nancy Wheeler” Charlie Heaton, “Jonathan Byers” Brett Gelman, “Murray Bauman” Priah Ferguson, “Erica Sinclair” https://www.emmys.com/events/fyc/2022/stranger
She’s filming a new movie in Portugal at the moment
May 26, 2022 at 8:35 pm #1204964881More reviews are up on RT which currently has 88% fresh, or an average critic score of 8/10. So I think that’s pretty good. This is line with previous seasons which were 8.1, 7.9 & 7.9 respectively.
May 23, 2022 at 11:56 pm #1204961826Also, this is based on a more traditional TV model. The good thing about streaming & Netflix is creators aren’t stuck in a particular format / episode length. They can have the episode length match the story and the beats they’re trying to hit rather than always being the same traditional TV length, and tell their story in as many episodes that they need.
May 23, 2022 at 8:45 pm #1204961750MBB’s work is also being highly praised, especially for Episode 7. Some saying her strongest work to date. I feel like she’s not always mentioned because it’s kind of expected now, where as it’s not for Sink. Doesn’t mean her performance isn’t as worthy as it’s always been.
May 23, 2022 at 5:25 pm #1204961652Even though their episodes are long, volume 1 is overall about the same length as Season 2 which fans didn’t have a problem binging all at once
