The Social Network losing to The King’s Speech.
Gary Oldman winning over Timothée Chalamet.
Gwyneth Paltrow winning over Cate Blanchett.
Sandra Bullock over Carey Mulligan (or anyone lol).
Matthew McConaughey over Leonardo DiCaprio.
Ellen Burstyn losing to Julia Roberts.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2 losing to the Iron Lady in makeup.
Not sure if Chalamet is supporting here. The title Beautiful Boy may have been taken from the dad’s memoir but the screenplay is also based on Tweak, the son’s point of view. So we’ll see how they will edit the final cut.
I do hope Chalamet wins in a leading role to make up for CMBYN. Either for this or The King.
Call Me By Your Name deserved more nominations (supporting actor/s, one more for song, cinematography, director and even production design) and a lead actor win. Really frustrated to read a voter dismiss it because they “did Moonlight last year” on top of other things.
