Too early. Adam Driver could be Russell Crowe 2. Russell Crowe was hugely successful for a short time and Then his career stopped. Same case with Michael Fassbender. Russell Crowe, Michael Fassbender and Adam Driver worked with Ridley Scott
Fassbender still has time to course correct his careee. David Fincher wants him to star in his next serial killer film. That’s promising.March 11, 2021 at 4:07 pm #1204110053
I think Oldman and Yeun are safe because of their SAG nominations and their films being major contenders Rahim isn’t that well known at least in America and The Mauritanian doesn’t look like it’ll be that big of a contender.
That’s a good point. The Mauritanian seems like a film that does well at overseas awards bodies and only gets a Jodie Foster nod at the Oscars. We’ll see.February 11, 2021 at 9:14 pm #1204038404
Joaquin Phoenix’s performance in “Joker” was one of the worst performances ever put on film.February 10, 2021 at 8:26 pm #1204036553
If Kingsley and Steven Yeun were both campaigned in Supporting, they’d be easy picks, and either of them would even have a chance to win, honestly. Especially Kingsley.
This is why category fraud is absurd and studios should stop contributing to it.February 9, 2021 at 7:12 pm #1204034319
Joaquin Phoenix’s performance in “Joker” is laughable and proves he is the definition of white mediocrity.February 9, 2021 at 7:10 pm #1204034315
All the young actors in Moonlight are over-rated and ruined an already awful film.February 9, 2021 at 12:28 am #1204032403
I’m ready to accept a Sacha Baron Cohen victory as long as Paul Raci gets nominated.February 8, 2021 at 3:42 pm #1204031942
Would Anthony Hopkins have won against Joaquin Phoenix or Casey Affleck?February 5, 2021 at 4:36 pm #1204025828
I’m not happy about it either but there is a chance that Sacha wins in a year with superior supporting actor performances.
Get ready to laugh and be confused simultaneously.January 23, 2021 at 9:00 pm #1203998277
I think that was too long ago now to draw sentiment votes for it.
That’s true. And Chadwick’s passing overshadowed Hanks’ covid counter.
I just really don’t want Hanks’ to get in lol he’s a great actor but please God not this year.
We have Mads, Ben-Adir, and Yeun for spot #5.
