To no surprise Naatu Naatu ranked 1st place.
2nd-LMU
3rd-HMH
4th- This is a Life
5th- Applause
ReplyMarch 7, 2023 at 10:06 pm #1205337645Based on the anonymous voting this category truly is “wide open” Naatu, LMU, HMH and This is a life all got 1 vote.
Sunday should be fun
March 7, 2023 at 1:47 am #1205335612This very website still has LMU ranked as number 2 in predictions, Clayton’s tweet may be biased but it is certainly not outlandish.
Shame Gaga isn’t performing, would’ve been nice. I do think she’ll attend tho.
March 5, 2023 at 3:48 pm #1205333372If her halftime boost is anything to go by, this performance should send LMU back up the charts.
Actually surprised it’s still charting given how people trashed it

March 1, 2023 at 11:20 pm #1205328641I’d give them until Friday to announce Gaga, if not then she likely isn’t performing.
I wouldn’t compare it to Beyoncé whose whole schtick is surprise award show performances or top secret/ last minute announcements.
Idk, really feel EEAAO upset is it’s nomination. Struggling to see how it would overcome
– A) the front runner who won GG & CC
– B) two songs by popular blockbuster success (yeah I know Rihanna and Lady Gaga names will not be listed on ballot but you have to be living under a rock to not know they are associated with the song)
February 27, 2023 at 11:24 am #1205322855So that’s 3 confirmed performances so far?
Just Naatu Naatu and Hold My Hand left to be announced. Assuming it’ll come sometime this week.

February 23, 2023 at 12:46 pm #1205315093Much like I anticipated Rihanna was dominating media headlines after her performance/ pregnancy reveal.
With news of her Oscars performance, the Academy will use Rihanna stardom for ratings/ drum up interest in the show ( I don’t recall them announcing a performer so early or as a one off like this in the past) but I still believe Naatu Naatu is the one to beat.
February 12, 2023 at 2:00 pm #1205301164Think this is the first time she acknowledged her Oscar nomination https://twitter.com/nflonfox/status/1624880487507320832?s=46&t=XyaLygElUk8Q2zNiFCYyFw
February 6, 2023 at 4:36 am #1205293855Paramount had an Oscar commercial for Hold My Hand/ Top Gun last night at the Grammys.
Anyone else catch it?

Wakanda Forever went on Disney+, with its release are all 5 BOS nominees now available for streaming?
January 30, 2023 at 10:16 pm #1205275521Not to downplay the immense achievement a Super Bowl performance is, but they’re two entirely different worlds. The “most buzzed about attendees” will be people from EEAAO and other Oscar picture favorites.
This is simply not true. Unless “buzzed” has a new meaning Rihanna will undoubtedly be the most talked about person that day perhaps even week as that user said.
We all saw what happened at the Golden Globes where the host and several winners all used it as an opportunity to name drop her.
Now will all that talk on social media and in the press really sway ppl to put votes towards her just because…. Probably not but point still stands
January 24, 2023 at 4:35 pm #1205264997With noms officially out, can we expect all nominees to perform or does the Academy only allot time for like 3/5? ( With all categories being televised I’d imagine they’re on a strict timeframe)
Best bets of a performance:
Naatu Naatu: they won’t miss the opportunity to do the dance on stage
Rihanna: 1st nomination of career, expecting her to attend and perform
Gaga: IDK, I feel like she’s in a been there done that before position. Totally see her attending but will she put in the time to perform?
January 24, 2023 at 5:49 am #1205260949Congrats to Gaga and Rihanna! Sadly still think they’re losing to Naatu Naatu
Surprised at Ciao Papa missing the final cut. Not surprised at Diane.
January 23, 2023 at 10:54 pm #1205260153Wait, Lift Me Up credited 5 songwriters at first? I didn’t know that.
It didn’t. Disney.. Tems.. Ryan Coogler have all been consistently adamant about the contributors being Tems, Rihanna, Ludwig, and Ryan.
Y’all let a Selena stan bait you into believing lies. One publication mistakenly credited Muni Long instead of Tems in an article.
Thankfully noms are less than a few hours away. Finally this silly debate can be put to rest.
