I just can’t with Camilla Banus. I don’t blame her as much as I blame the character. Gabi is a petulant, screechy little brat who either is scheming or bitching about how wronged she has been. It’s so one-note and dull.

Patricia Heaton’s first win (Bad Moon Rising) over Messing (Das Boob) was totally deserved. “Bad Moon Rising” is a perfect submission and wiped the floor with every other nominee that year.
I find Heaton’s second win (The Cannister) totally baffling, especially up against Messing’s hilarious performance in an hour-long episode (Lows in the Mid Eighties.)

Bravo dear Luca…Bravo indeed.
The title of this thread is misleading. This isn’t really about slamming Goldderby, and the article itself doesn’t really drag us. Besides, our job is to predict, not promote!

I realize this makes me really old. But Hill Street Blues is just a masterpiece. One of the All time greats, so my choice was not even difficult. If you haven’t seen it I highly recommend it.

You guys…I don’t know why you think West will win. She’s had killer reels in the last few years but has always come up short. I think there is a portion of the voting members who think that she overacts. I think that could hurt her.

Correction…Beulah Bondi won for the category “Lead Actress in a Single Performance.” That’s more of a guest win.

I’ve now watched the show all the way through twice (had to prep for various interviews). And I just absolutely adore it. Period.

I think Parsons and McDermott are the best shot in supporting actor….and LuPone in supporting actress.

I love this show. It’s such a nice escape, kind of like a fairy tale (pun intended). It’s fun, it’s optimistic. MVP’s are Parsons, Mantello, LuPone, and especially McDermott. Among the youngsters, Jeremy Pope has the best role and really runs with it.
As for the redemption arc for Parsons’s character, I can understand the mixed feelings. But I…[Read more]

The editors at GD have reached out to the NATAS for explanation and have asked to at least get a list of pre-noms for editorial purposes. They pretty much said, “Not Going to Happen!”

Really? Are we really up in arms about poor Brad? The Kidnapping, lying, whiny little mani-pulator?
Yes the hypocrisy from Carly is rich. But brad deserves what he gets. Also, the writers really did a disservice by having Carly lead the rage. There could have been amazing anger scenes from Lucas or Bobbie.

Freddie Smith was particularly great last Friday as Sonny raged at Gabi over her neglect of her own daughter. That combined with his expected rage against Maggie would make for a great tape.

Are they ever going to make Gabi sympathetic again? She tried to kill Julie in public. She manipulated Eli. Blackmailed Lani. And the spoilers for what she’s going to do to get out of jail make her pure evil…beyond redemption.
And second, why don’t Will and Sonny take the child away from her? They look like stooges.
