I loved this film as much as any film I’ve seen in recent years. I went in knowing the overall praise of the film, but not expecting where the film took me. It was hysterically funny one moment, delightfully absurd the next, and then reached right into my chest and ripped my heart out. It’s such a masterpiece. This is one of those films that not only lives up to the hype, but surpasses any expectation I could have ever had.
I can’t imagine seeing a better film this year.October 24, 2019 at 10:20 am #1203150670
No spoilers, but I HATE where they are taking Gabi. They’re turning her into a psychopath with no redeeming qualities. And it makes Will and Sonny look even worse because they are not doing anything to stop it.October 11, 2019 at 11:07 am #1203132403
What an awful mess. Thanks for nothing Jill Soloway.October 11, 2019 at 11:02 am #1203132397
Was it perfect? Of course not. But it was still pretty freaking amazing– far better than anything that was nominated in the TV movie category this year. And Paul is sheer perfection!September 26, 2019 at 11:08 am #1203105156
Some of you are asking why this thread is still open. As one of the moderators, I can explain. We are NOT in the habit of closing threads where there is debate. We only close threads that are abusive, harassing, or contain SPAM. You guys want to call editors and contributors wrong, moronic, bad at our jobs? Fine. We’re all big boys and girls…we can take it. As long as the debate remains free of abuse, threats, etc, comment away.September 24, 2019 at 10:34 am #1203100112
Look…everyone just needs to relax a minute and take the hyperbolic nonsense down a few notches.
I realize I’m just a contributing writer here, but for the record, I had Chernobyl winning from day one, and I’m glad I was right. But there was a real possibility that I was going to be wrong, and I wouldn’t have lost my mind over it.
Frankly there were sound reasons to predict WTSU in Limited Series. People who did so are not haters or dismissers…they just looked at the facts and made a judgment call. Sometimes we’re right and sometimes we’re dead wrong. It happens, but it’s not a national emergency or a sign of some vast conspiracy. Believe me, we all have better things to do than dismiss a TV show’s Emmy chances.September 11, 2019 at 11:36 am #1203069574
I agree. Strasser is totally wrong for this role.September 10, 2019 at 9:17 am #1203067640
One thing that’s always bothered me. Will and Sonny are fine with all the garbage Gabi pulled with Abigail? And they’re ok with her being married to a guy that pointed a gun and Will’s grandmother? How about the fact that Gabi left Julie to die? Do these people communicate AT ALL?September 2, 2019 at 11:00 am #1203053521
I would also add Martha ByrneAugust 28, 2019 at 1:03 pm #1203044929
Unfortunately, Atkinson’s performance was Faaaaar better when he was torn between good and evil. The psycho scenes of him talking to himself and walking around shirtless were just painfully bad.
And speaking of painfully bad, this storyline has been giving us the gift we never wanted, more Thorsten Kaye. The man is so laughably awful as Ridge that any sympathy for the character dissipates the moment Kaye grumbles his lines.
On a happier note, if Annika Noelle submits the scenes where she lays into Flo, she’s got an Emmy in the bag.June 4, 2019 at 9:33 am #1202923235

Where was Jon going at the end??May 14, 2019 at 12:58 pm #1202893812
If GH submits yesterday’s memorial alongside OScar’s death episode…it has drama series in the bag. Miller,Braun, and McCoy were all on fire yesterday. I also loved the nice scene between Benard and Braun….a little early 2000’s Sonny and Carly.April 26, 2019 at 7:59 am #1202867937
Christopher won’t win this. In fact, I have him in fourth. He’s too villainous, and full out villains almost never win in the lead category. Also, there’s something really icky about his reel, and the storyline in general. He’s trying to make excuses for rape. It won’t really fly in the face of more sympathetic reels.
