I agree. Strasser is totally wrong for this role.September 10, 2019 at 9:17 am #1203067640
One thing that’s always bothered me. Will and Sonny are fine with all the garbage Gabi pulled with Abigail? And they’re ok with her being married to a guy that pointed a gun and Will’s grandmother? How about the fact that Gabi left Julie to die? Do these people communicate AT ALL?September 2, 2019 at 11:00 am #1203053521

Unfortunately, Atkinson’s performance was Faaaaar better when he was torn between good and evil. The psycho scenes of him talking to himself and walking around shirtless were just painfully bad.
And speaking of painfully bad, this storyline has been giving us the gift we never wanted, more Thorsten Kaye. The man is so laughably awful as Ridge that any sympathy for the character dissipates the moment Kaye grumbles his lines.
On a happier note, if Annika Noelle submits the scenes where she lays into Flo, she’s got an Emmy in the bag.June 4, 2019 at 9:33 am #1202923235

Where was Jon going at the end??May 14, 2019 at 12:58 pm #1202893812
If GH submits yesterday’s memorial alongside OScar’s death episode…it has drama series in the bag. Miller,Braun, and McCoy were all on fire yesterday. I also loved the nice scene between Benard and Braun….a little early 2000’s Sonny and Carly.April 26, 2019 at 7:59 am #1202867937
Christopher won’t win this. In fact, I have him in fourth. He’s too villainous, and full out villains almost never win in the lead category. Also, there’s something really icky about his reel, and the storyline in general. He’s trying to make excuses for rape. It won’t really fly in the face of more sympathetic reels.April 26, 2019 at 7:31 am #1202867868
I think Miller would have had a stronger shot if she had submitted better. But her reel is just not good. As I said before, she is much better during Flynn and Christopher’s reel than she is in her own.April 25, 2019 at 8:57 pm #1202867155
I got press access in order to cover them for Goldderby.April 25, 2019 at 3:31 pm #1202866802
De Paiva is my #1 now, with Watson close behind. That last scene in her reel was a tour de force. I liked Godfrey’s reel at the beginning, but the drunk scene didn’t work for me. Madison and Maitland were too weepy and lacked range. Morgan’s was the most disappointing. She needed something with more range to balance the quietness of the reel.April 25, 2019 at 3:27 pm #1202866795
I’ll be honest, I hated all of these reels. The acting is actively bad, in my opinion. So it’s kind of like picking from a whole lot of yuck.
Stitt’s has the best chance. He has the most sympathy in his storyline. Tinker (WTF). Adams (Snooze). Lipton (Meh). Pettis (does nothing but cry and the last half of the reel has no dialogue, just tears). I’d hate to see the reels that DIDN’T make the cut here.April 25, 2019 at 3:25 pm #1202866790
Having seen the reels, Gail is winning and it’s richly deserved. It’s not even close. James is second, but not really a close second.
Rikkart is amusing, but one-note. Martsolf has a good beginning, but the second half of the reel is dominated by Kassie DePaiva. Zamprogna’s is a big nothing.April 25, 2019 at 3:22 pm #1202866786
Again, I’ve watched all the reels.
West is winning this. It’s as good an Emmy reel as I’ve ever seen. No one else even comes close. The person who submitted the worst was Miller. She could have done so much better. She was better in Flynn and Christopher’s reels than her own. A wasted opportunity. Tom was fine, but the story was dull. Wright submitted well, but the reel never pays off. Some of the scenes build up, but then move on before we get that money moment. Wood’s was too much ugly crying. Too one note. She’s down at the bottom for me.
West wins, with Wright in second.
