I think people take these awards shows too seriously & believe they mean more than they do..
You don’t seem to understand the point of these forums. They are literally to discuss awards.
FYI awards includes more than just Bohemian Rhapsody. Why don’t you go on another thread and discuss a movie you enjoyed or a performance that you liked? I would love to hear your unbiased oscar predictions.

I might have fell asleep during a part of Green Book. I don’t remember Linda doing something Oscar worthy… I barely even remember her doing something lolJanuary 20, 2019 at 2:47 pm #1202741113
Critics’ Choice Awards are bestowed annually by the BFCA and BTJA to honor the finest in cinematic and television achievement. The BFCA is the largest film critics organization in the United States and Canada, representing more than 330 television, radio and online critics. BFCA members are the primary source of information for today’s film-going public. BTJA is the collective voice of journalists who regularly cover television for TV viewers, radio listeners and online audiences. Historically, the Critics’ Choice Awards are the most accurate predictor of the Academy Award nominations.

I know saying the CCA have nothing to do with the critics is just someone being ridiculous lol Do not even try to make that comment make sense..you all think your opinion matters when in reality the fact you hate GB & BR means nothing & claiming they should not win or be nominated means …nothing again! lol
They call themselves ” The most accurate predictor of the Academy Awards nominations”. If that doesn’t convince you they don’t care about critics, then I don’t now what will.

This year line up is going to be extremely weak. At least 5 films from last year would easily have won this year (TSOW, TBBOEM, Dunkirk, Lady Bird, Get out, …)January 20, 2019 at 9:47 am #1202740786
Gaga, Colman and Close are all locks in my book. No way one of them is snubbed.
Especially Close, where does that idea come from ?January 20, 2019 at 6:12 am #1202740599

I wonder if the creators of that atrocity called “Vice” even tried to reach George W Bush or Dick Chaney’s team before making that pile of bullshit that has flopped so spectacularly.
I agree but Vice was not trying to be a respectful movie thoJanuary 19, 2019 at 9:08 pm #1202740092
He didn’t have to ask Shirley’s family sh*t. The film is not about Don Shirley. It’s Tony’s story.
I completely disagree. When you portray a real human being, you need to respect who he or she was by, at least, trying to show a realistic version of said person. The movie is about Don and Tony’s relationship and the writers had no business changing that relationship without warning the family. They should have changed the names if they wanted to take liberties without anyone’s consent.
