I think out of the big names who have been judges at singing competition she’s probably the biggest at the time of being a judge. Others like Britney and Mariah did it after they started loosing relevance.March 30, 2021 at 8:25 am #1204165762
This seems like a weird move. She’s still very much in her prime why waste her time on this? Don’t know how I feel about this.December 15, 2020 at 10:11 am #1203922430

I’m confident Washington, Blanchett and Winslet will reach 10 nominations. Any one of them could be the first.October 11, 2020 at 8:25 pm #1203772268
All four of Pacino nominations where oscar worthy, should have won for three of them.September 20, 2020 at 5:56 pm #1203721987
OMGGGG full SC sweep! I wouldve been happy had they won actress, s. Actress, and series only. This is just amazing, SC just spoke to my heart.September 20, 2020 at 5:50 pm #1203721895
Alexis was my fave since season 1 Schitts Creek, if she is the only one not included in this sweep…September 8, 2020 at 9:29 pm #1203694196
Mary Tyler Moore in Ordinary People wins this for me. Her performance was so subtly real and heartbreaking.August 31, 2020 at 8:29 am #1203677567
Norton. He should have two oscars, for American History X and Primal Fear.
Then Dafoe.August 26, 2020 at 10:11 am #1203668653
1. Pesci/ Pacino, both great performances.
2. Barraza/ Kikuchi, great aswell.
3. Hudson/ McDormand, love this movie and this performances.
4. Spencer/ Chastain, both where really good.
5. Adams/ Davis, both good aswell.
6. Mirren/ Smith, Mirren I thought was great. Smith didn’t do much for me.
7. CZJ/ Latifah, entretainig, fun performances.
8. Adams/ Leo, OK. I liked Adams better.

Ugh I just hope this doesnt end up like a Bohemian Rhapsody. Such talents deserve a worthy biopic. On the casting I hope they strictly focus on the acting and have Whitney’s singing since I dont think anyone can do Whitneys’s voice justice anywayAugust 1, 2020 at 10:12 am #1203620642
1974 Best Actress had Rowlands and Dunaway who were amazing plus Burstyn who was good. There are far worse years for the category like 1994, 1984 and 2019.May 16, 2020 at 8:33 pm #1203485515
I would have given her an oscar for Sense and Sensibility and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
ESotSM is just my favorite performance of hers, such and amazing and raw performance. Sad and touching but also really charismastic. So different from the usual oscar winning performance.
Titanic was an iconic performance but Judi Dench was my winner, would have replaced The Reader’s nom for a RR nom, and added additional noms for Heavenly Creatures and Quills.January 21, 2020 at 6:32 pm #1203297821
Kate Winslet is the lead, they’re either both leads or Saoirse’s supportingNot now
