ALERT! Irishman and Marriage Story are coming!November 17, 2019 at 8:02 pm #1203184069
Lol but that is still unknown data. Bombshell hasn’t even been released yet and is placed 10th here. I remember I saw a blog with a SAG member as an insider telling audience reactions to it. There were VERY enthusiastic reactions to her.
Sasha Stone (#1 at Goldderby) kinda suggested the same in her blog. She says the movie is a juggernaut in female acting and Theron disappears into the role of Megyn Kelly. One more thing: it is a real person, which is something the Academy likes very much,
Sasha stone is still acting like Dolemite and Waves are locked. Not reliable right now. Wait till later. and Judy isnt coming anywhere near picture lolNovember 17, 2019 at 6:49 pm #1203183940
I kinda fell asleep to The Two Popes. The awful sound mixing on the DVD didnt help. Oh well I’ll try again.November 17, 2019 at 6:47 pm #1203183938

Banderas is going to be the Ethan Hawke of 2019, getting the lion’s share of critic’s awards, but only mustering a Critic’s Choice Award nom (and possibly a Golden Globe nom). I doubt he’s going to get in.
I’m shocked that Uncut Gems isn’t getting more talk. Apparently it’s one of the best films of the year, scoring higher than a lot of the Best Picture hopefuls. I think Adam Sandler has a shot at getting in Best Actor.
If anyone is Ethan Hawke is Sandler in a Safdie brothers movie lolNovember 17, 2019 at 1:14 pm #1203183580
Booksmart, Dolomite, Farewell & Rocketman are likely to be C/M Picture nominated.
Farewell isnt eligible for the Comedy category.
And never predicted Thompson after seeing Late Night. Predicting the Booksmart pair instead.November 17, 2019 at 12:45 pm #1203183554
After watching, Waves, I say Sterling K Brown, is very good in it. But he disappears for large chunks of movie. I don’t se eit happening. Considering there are many options for supporting actor. It’s not like Regina king last year where category didn’t have many choices.
I said much of the same. I think the film has much larger problems then that though. It should be happy to get some Indie Spirit award noms and call it a day.November 17, 2019 at 12:43 pm #1203183552
Darlings, Damon >>>>>>>>>>>>> Bale

Since we are already narrowing down people -dont forget Jessie Buckley in Wild Rose!November 15, 2019 at 5:55 pm #1203181477
Does anyone else feel hesitant about JoJo Rabbit winning BP or even screenplay? I loved it but maybe just as many others didn’t, or wouldn’t watch it ala Joker?
Or am I being dilusional?
If Green Book can win screenplay, Jojo definitely can. Been predicting it to win screenplay since it won Toronto and BP after I saw it. Perfectly reasonable to be hesitant. I didnt think GB was winning screenplay especially after it lost WGA and we arent even at the nomination stage yet.
