Maura West (and Kassie DePaiva or Beth Maitland, for that matter) not winning this award + the reels not being released this year conclusively proves that this process is entirely corrupt. Let’s hope they get it right in 2020. That woman is undoubtedly the best thing on daytime right now.

This is an EXTREMELY competitive category. I see Kassie DePaiva and Beth Maitland as the front runners.
5. Vernee Watson, GH

GH or Days for the win!!! I’m pulling for GH because I think their submissions are much better, despite the fact that Days had a better year start-to-finish. The Nurse’s Ball in particular this year was so brilliant, Sonny and Mike’s performance was so touching and MW brought the house down!
