Is The Eddy that bad?April 3, 2020 at 10:31 am #1203408223
Fargo S3, Genius: Aretha, The Undoing and The Third Day.April 3, 2020 at 9:26 am #1203408149
I’m not saying I’m 100% sure, this is what I’m currently thinking. When the three shows come out and they turn out to be flops of course LFE and TPAA might get in.April 3, 2020 at 9:17 am #1203408140
Little Fires Everywhere and The Plot Against America are not happening. I Know This Much Is True, Hollywood and The Eddy are all above those two.April 3, 2020 at 2:57 am #1203407587
I Know This Much Is True has a supporting cast of Melissa Leo, Juliette Lewis, Kathryn Hahn and Rosie O’Donnell. I imagine at least one of them will be nominated.April 2, 2020 at 11:49 am #1203406650
Ever since Fargo S1 won miniseries, the miniseries victory race has been one year FX and the other year HBO. So this year I’m expecting Mrs. America to win.April 2, 2020 at 9:11 am #1203406385
Another tv project from Nicole Kidman, this time with Amazon. It is an another book adaptation with the premise of “two brilliant, damaged women try to survive the greatest game of deceit and destruction they will ever play”. Sound familiar? Reed Morana is directing the episodes.

I know I must sound like a broken record, but only because I loved this book so much and the early press reactions have been so great (with some critics already saying it’s their favorite scripted show of 2020 so far). The trailer also was really impactful, imo. I feel like it’s going to be a good adaptation, especially coming from Sally Rooney, herself, and Lenny Abrahamsson, director of Room. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1JQuWxt3cE Can’t help but be an excited fan.
It all depends on if the show is really good and if it finds a large audience.March 31, 2020 at 10:09 am #1203402802

I’m finally watching Dead to Me and I’m disappointed. I’m predicting it for Series since the predictions center opened because I thought it has Killing Eve potential – two female leads, getting more attention in its second season, but it feels more like Grace and Frankie. The first season wasn’t big, there hasn’t been any news about the second one and I’m wondering why we are predicting it for Series. Applegate is great, but the show as a whole is meh.
Not that there’s anything wrong with you not liking the show, but this is the first time I’ve seen someone disliking Dead to Me. Most of the people like the show so that’s probably why it won WGA for episodic comedy and on the track for Emmys.March 30, 2020 at 10:45 am #1203401292
Am I the only one who thinks Ratched is a bad idea? Nurse Ratched is a great villain in the original story, but I’ve never really felt interested in learning her story, maybe because she’s cold and unemotional, and I feel like that typically (although not universally) doesn’t result in a very good protagonist. I’m also not all that big into the villain backstory narrative. Often times, I feel like exploring villains in too much detail takes away their allure, some examples being the origin stories for Hannibal Lecter, Darth Vader, and Maleficent.
I think most of the people including me are excited about Ratched because it’s giving AHS: Asylum vibes.March 30, 2020 at 1:37 am #1203400639
Probably it’s just a coincidence but the plot of Run reminds me the first season of The End of the F*cking World. Two lovers running away and entangled in a crime.March 28, 2020 at 3:05 pm #1203398597
I just have this feeling that either Run or Space Force will flop.
