“No Place Like Home (Glasgow)” from Wild Rose was ROBBED last year by Toy Story 4. And I believe that “Show Yourself” was so much better than Into the Unknown, but I know why they nominated the latter.April 21, 2020 at 1:14 pm #1203439488
Looks like Lin will have to wait yet another year for his EGOT.April 13, 2020 at 2:34 pm #1203424895
I can also see the Oscars lifting the requirement that films have to be in a theatre for at least a week in NYC or LA, but I also doubt they’ll cancel. Move, yes? Change the eligibility requirements around because this year has been crazy? yes. Cancel, no.March 29, 2020 at 5:24 pm #1203400119
Glenn Close, Margot Robbie. Saoirse Ronan is also definitely getting an Oscar this decade, I agree. I can feel it.March 13, 2020 at 1:10 pm #1203380521
Honestly, New Mutants should go to Disney+ at this point. That poor movie.March 13, 2020 at 12:02 pm #1203380403
Poor New Mutants, pushed back again for the fifth time.
Mulan pushed, gutted about that because early reviews were saying it was good.
Del Toro’s Nightmare Alley’s production has also halted, along with every live action Disney movie.March 12, 2020 at 12:54 pm #1203379518
With the closure of broadway impacting several opening shows, I wonder how this is going to affect the Tonys…March 5, 2020 at 9:27 am #1203372094

I agree, I would love to see JLaw do something good again. Her last good film was Silver Linings Playbook imo.
I also agree that at after The Last Thing He Wanted, Dee Rees needs a redemption film.February 25, 2020 at 7:17 pm #1203360574
I can see West Side Story being a big hit or miss honestly.February 25, 2020 at 6:42 pm #1203360521
Inception not winning Best Original Score in 2010…. That still hurts
I’m with this. Hans Zimmer is my favourite composer. Inception’s score is so good.
I’m still salty The Favourite went home with just one award. ONE! It deserved so much better. I’m also still salty that How Far I’ll Go lost to City of Stars.February 25, 2020 at 6:36 pm #1203360519
Just saw the NA touring production of Dear Evan Hansen and it was so good! Their cast was amazing and while I still love Ben as original Evan, their Zoe was fantastic.February 25, 2020 at 12:34 pm #1203360249
Okay nominations. I’m also sad at no JLaw in Actress for Silver Linings Playbook, which was is my favourite performance of hers. I agree that Saoirse probably vote split, but her performance in Lady Bird is one of my favourites ever. I’m not personally a massive fan of in La La Land (I actually liked Emma Stone better in Birdman), but I loved Brie’s performance in Room, so I’m probably the only one happy about that aha.
Edit: I’m not done my predictions, but I have Saoirse for performer of the decade.
