folklore expected to stay in the Top 10. I’ve been told that it was a frontloaded mess, GP have no interest for the album. Only bundle/signed CD keep it alive so I’m confused
Omg, why there are so many new debuts in the top10? Can they stop this already so Taylor can go back to top5?October 6, 2020 at 4:00 pm #1203764236
I think It will be hard for “the 1” to become a hit. The buzz that the track had may be long gone by now. In my opinion, the best would be “exile” because even if it doesn’t perform well in the charts, at least Taylor would have greater chances in Pop Duo.
Anyways, I will only belive in the next single when she announces it.October 4, 2020 at 4:54 pm #1203759754
I was wrong and Taylor outdid the projection. There is clear gp interest otherwise it wouldn’t be top 10. Also stop twisting the comparison to BTS. I brought it up because both were #1 despite there being an obvious bigger album/song. And I stand by that, Pop Smoke clearly has the bigger album Cardi has the bigger song.
Well, It’s not a very clever idea to bring those comparisons in a thread that are already many hateful comments towards Taylor.
Also, I read more than comment here and I always see you arguing with that Industry Insider guy. Maybe you should try to be more peaceful, we swifties really have a bad reputation in this forum and we should support each other. There are some things that he says that I don’t agree either but sometimes I see you being over the top.
I don’t think I have the right to say what you have to do, and neither I own the truth. I’m just trying to help the swiftie environment here.October 4, 2020 at 3:57 pm #1203759646
She sold 44k in 8th week and now she sold 45k without lifting a finger. I don’t know how some people even say that the GP are not into folklore. She is showing us great stability that would be even better with a new single.
Maybe now that swiftie will stop comparing Taylor to BTS in the main thread.October 3, 2020 at 9:20 pm #1203757833
My AOTY predictions are
After Hours -The Weeknd
Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial -Roddy Ricch
Fetch the Bolt Cutters – Fiona Apple
Folklore – Taylor Swift
Hollywood’s Bleeding – Post Malone
The Highwomen -The Highwomen
RTJ4 – Run the Jewels
Ungodly Hour – Chloe x Halle
I think that they will let folklore compete but they will try do avoid the win by making a line up that would take votes from folklore, like The Highwomen and Future Nostalgia. I just took Dua out because now I see Post being over her since he won’t get a PVA nom. I also have Ungodly Hour in to be the R&B pick because The Weeknd chose to go pop.October 3, 2020 at 9:19 pm #1203757831
AOTY (in order of likelihood for a nom): 1. Weeknd 2. Fiona 3. Harry 4. Roddy 5. RTJ 6. Brittany 7. Taylor 8. Lil Baby Should I replace Lil Baby with Post Malone? General consensus seems to be that Lil Baby isn’t happening Also I don’t buy the Dua hype at ALL. Her appeal of having a universally acclaimed pop album is ruined by the fact that there’s another universally acclaimed pop album which sold almost double.
Harry at #3 in aoty? Really not happening. I only have him in PVA and pop solo.September 28, 2020 at 5:06 pm #1203740056
And why is cardigan rising suddenly on iTunes? I know that iTunes equals nothing in 2020, but is that a sign that the song will have good stability?September 28, 2020 at 5:05 pm #1203740053
Just realized something: if you picked a random date anytime in the last 12 years, you would have a one in thirteen chance of picking a date Taylor Swift had the number 1 album in the country. That’s absolutely insane to think about.
Congrats for your math, rue. I don’t know if I would be capable of doing/understand such things…September 25, 2020 at 9:36 am #1203734107
Folklore’s “longevity” is so forced, that I can’t imagine how hard it will fall when she stops these stunts,
If “Lover” without any big hit and with its HORRIBLE single choice still managed to spend almost 20 weeks in the top10, I can guarantee you that folklore won’t free fall, sorry to be the one to tell you that.
Taylor sells well in the holiday season and “folklore” is coming to show you lots and lots of stability.September 25, 2020 at 7:50 am #1203733664
Quick question, is “Speak Now” the last album to spend 7 weeks at #1 and not be nominated for AotY? Which is sad because politics got in the way of the nomination cuz it’s honestly like her second/third best album.
Speak Now is her third best album. I would rank Taylor’s albums like that
3. Speak Now
7. Taylor Swift

This is great for Harry. He’s the most recently released eligible album to be on that list. No After Hours, folklore, Future Nostalgia, Hollywood’s Bleeding, etc. Correct me if I’m wrong, I don’t think FTBC was on there either.
We don’t know when this list was made, so maybe those albums were not available to choose.September 21, 2020 at 6:34 pm #1203726724
What kind of logic is this? If anything it will help her even further due to long overdue card.
Yeah, and I hope that when/if she wins it will be with a song that really represents her as a writer. Blank Space would be a great winner, but songs like lover/cardigan are more “Taylor Swift”.September 21, 2020 at 4:26 pm #1203726484
A reliable Twitter insider has basically confirmed that betty is going to be their next big push… exile is literally smashing in Europe right now I hate them. I love betty but there are two obvious picks for singles and they go for: neither of them.
Omg, can you send the link?September 21, 2020 at 4:14 pm #1203726455
I think betty is the local radio single for country radio. I hope she will push exile, it’s funny but the only collab that she heavy promoted with live show appearances and award shows was me!. She never performed Bad Blood Remix live with Kendrick although we know this song had a lot of promo or IDWLF with Zayn, Breathe with Colbie etc.
But would Bon Iver be willing to perform and promote “Exile”? What are the chances of Taylor not choosing “Exile” to be the next single due to Bon Iver?
