“Spirit” by Beyonce is definitely frontrunner looking at these other songs. Haven’t even heard most of the lol. The only question is what other 4 song join him? We don’t even know if Taylor Swift write anything will probably be Andrew Loyld Webber. Frozen song maybe has a chance.
Frozen will completely steamroll Spirit. It’ll win for Animated Feature and it’ll win for Original Song.September 14, 2019 at 11:08 am #1203074602

Does anyone know when (if ever) Parasite will be released in the UK?September 9, 2019 at 11:30 am #1203065794
Jojo Rabbit flopped hard with awful reviews, so I’m pulling this film out of all of my predictions. Looks like Joker got its screenplay nom back. I’m not even sure what to add to my Picture Top 10. The buzz for JLo is undeniable, so I’m adding it to supporting actress. The buzz is strong, the reviews are great: I don’t think there’s any obstacles in her way.
How are these reviews awful? Mild yes, but awful…?September 4, 2019 at 9:58 pm #1203058504
Lupita is not hetting close to a nomination.September 4, 2019 at 4:12 pm #1203058153
I forgot about Theron lol. But I don’t have faith in that movie at all. She’s definetely a possibity tho.
She’ll bring it home.September 4, 2019 at 10:57 am #1203057639
As much as I can’t stand her audacious statements, I concur with the above post. Green Book came with a suitcase of controversy last year but somehow managed to win BP, despite being one of the least acclaimed nominees. I doubt this will impact her strong, albeit fragile momentum.September 4, 2019 at 9:30 am #1203057459
yet, the let Stone and Ali to fraud in other categories without question about it (and colman is supporting). This industry seems too oddly specific “woke” to consider such change. I’m betiing Pryce will go lead because he’s playing a sympathetic character and have not got his due like ever. Hopkins is clearly going supporting because that category have a thing for past winners veterans. Now if Bale is so eager for a leading oscar then he’s picking up a fight with Damon. But considering Colman got in lead over the actual film lead I don’t see why Bale can’t fraud it.
There was no “actual lead
” in The Favourite. There were three co-leads. Colman’s character was simply the heart of the film and as such most people consider the lead. End of.September 4, 2019 at 9:27 am #1203057457
Theron’s coming for the win now anyway, as it should be.September 4, 2019 at 9:16 am #1203057420
She deserves to lose just for being stupid enough to say that publicly.September 3, 2019 at 3:13 pm #1203056229
Cats sure won’t win, but it’s just the right kind of elaborate musical that it will get nominations regardless of quality. Definitely no win.
The nomination it will inevitably get should go to a more deserving nominee. *cough* The Lighthouse *cough*
