Emily BluntFebruary 20, 2021 at 3:11 pm #1204052148I do hope it’s TRUE that Emilia is replacing Heard. Emilia is such a badass and one of my favourite actresses and she was the best part of Solo so I have confidence that’s she will own this role as well.

ReplyFebruary 20, 2021 at 10:30 am #1204051880The only person I found awards worthy in the Chicago seven cast was Frank Langella and he should be the one with all the nominations.
February 17, 2021 at 10:51 am #1204046672Eva Green: Penny Dreadful-she deserved an Emmy for every episode
Maggie Gyllenhaal: The Deuce-she was sublimely brilliant
Vera Farmiga: Bates Motel-she inhabited Norma like no one else ever could
Amy Poehler: Parks and Recreation-She was always underrated for her brilliance as the iconic Leslie Knope and deserved so much more love than she got
Rhea Seehorn: Better Call Saul-What the fuck does she have to do to get recognized. I guess giving the best performance in one of the most brilliant shows of all time isnt good enough for awards bodies. I hope she gets recognized for the final season.
ReplyFebruary 17, 2021 at 10:33 am #1204046636I really do hope Paul Raci gets in because he was so unbelievably mesmerizing in Sound of Metal. It’s been two weeks since I’ve watched that movie and I cant stil thinking about his performance more and more every day. It was su subdue and subtle and sometimes that worms wonders for an actor just like it did for Raci he should win and here he his most likely not getting a nomination. He is my favourites performance I’ve seen from the contenders. And I really just wanna watch the movie again so I can rediscover his performance once more. A Truly gifted actor
February 17, 2021 at 10:23 am #1204046614The big short and Vice I hated them so fucking much, and I’m really Looking forward to Dont Look Up but Adam McKay as a filmmaker just doesnt do it for me so I have a very strong feeling I’ll hate it as well.

ReplyFebruary 10, 2021 at 9:31 am #1204035377Seconding Isabelle Huppert and Barry Jenkins 100%. I think LaKeith Stanfield would also be incredible in a Jenkins movie.
Others I’d like to see – Dakota Johnson and Kelly Reichardt, Kristen Stewart and Jonathan Glazer and Joaquin Phoenix, Willem Dafoe and/ or Elisabeth Moss with the Safdie Bros.. A Tilda Swinton and Yorgos Lanthimos combination seems like it would be amazing as well. While we’re at it let’s cast Ethan Hawke in a Lynne Ramsay film too.
Isabelle Huppert and Barry Jenkins would be amazing together but the dream team for me is Tilda and Yorgos those two would be undeniably brilliant together and I need this to happen.

ReplyFebruary 1, 2021 at 1:51 pm #1204013202I loved American Hustle it’s a movie I keep coming abcknto watch over and over again. Its excellently made with a great script and beyond brilliant performances especially Jennifer Lawrence who should have easily won her second oscar over Lupita Nyong’o who did nothing to deserve the win.
ReplyJanuary 31, 2021 at 11:40 am #1204011118I finished rewatching Veep and jesus h christ it remains brilliant. From the first episode to that diabolical finale in which selina does the unforgivable and sacrifices Gary. The writing is top notch and the Jones are always going a mile a minute. The cast is everything but the obvious standout is Julia as Selina. The character she created who is so deplorable and ineffective and yet you cant help but root for her. Julia truly deserved everything she won for this show and then some. She should have won a couple of Globes and she really should have won them my for the last season. This is iconic from start to finish and I’m going to rewatch the show for a fifth time now
