What are you predicting to win? This isn’t meant as shady or anything I just remember you ruling Rain On Me out too
If I recall correctly, they voted Un Dia.

Civilian's taste in "quality" = OPINION!December 28, 2020 at 2:59 pm #1203950328Velezgirl never responds to what I actually say about the stan nature she exhibits, to look past racism when it’s her favorite artist and pummels it down to an artist she hates. She continues to push her narrative that people are just dismissing BTS’s racist past, when we are not. She wants it to be this discussion here. I have already told her that I would rather discuss it in a different thread with her and we can call it “BTS racist offenses” if she wants to be singular about a plural subject and I will contribute as much as I know but she just loves to keep it up here in a discussion about the Grammys. I am not talking to her. Someone close this thread already. It’s already clear who we all predict the winner is. So it is Exile vs ROM, with Dynamite and Un Dia as the darkhorse. Done. Burn this thread.

Civilian's taste in "quality" = OPINION!December 27, 2020 at 11:12 pm #1203948825just nuke this whole thread omg anyways… just a thought, but since both dua lipa and bad bunny are nominated in other fields, do you think that they could perform un dia (maybe as part of a dua lipa montage)?
I hope so! That would shape the mood, it sounds like an opening number.

Civilian's taste in "quality" = OPINION!December 27, 2020 at 5:34 pm #1203948549Nothing that I called them out for was untrue though and you know that which is probably why you’re so upset. I already made my point and I’m not taking it back just because you & a few of their other fans are upset with me and want to condone bts’s racist behavior. Now, can we go back to the Grammy conversation? You keep dragging this out for no reason.
You need to read back to everything you’ve contributed to this thread and do a mirror mirror on the wall. Either you’re acting dense, are actually dense, or literally want me to repeat what I’ve already said for the troll that you are.

Civilian's taste in "quality" = OPINION!December 27, 2020 at 4:03 pm #1203948422All of this whining and deflecting and for what? You can’t deny any of bts’s racist history so you tried to deflect to Taylor and since that failed miserably now you’re upset and salty. Get over it and move on. I’m glad you apologized though so at least you know what you did wrong. Have a good day.
Your main narrative is that I hate Taylor and condone racism, which I don’t, whereas you visibly hate BTS and are imbalanced or incredibly biased about who you call out for what. Idk what will change your mind, honestly. You believe what you like to believe. Your mind can’t even absorb equality, so I hope you stop mentioning advocacies when you’re only slightly informed about them.

Civilian's taste in "quality" = OPINION!December 27, 2020 at 3:21 pm #1203948365Willow debuted at #1 on the BB’s Hot 100 and Evermore at the top of the BB Albums chart. Taylor also became the first and only artist to do that twice in a year, after Cardigan and Folklore in August. No doubt she’ll win a Grammy! I think AOTY is a given.
But speaking for this category, Exile may still lose to one of the other songs. It was already discussed that ROM and Dynamite debuted higher and appeared more in YE top song lists of major publications. Recently, Evermore ft. Bon Iver debuted at a mere #57 on the BBH100. If the Grammy’s are going to be artist focused though, it’s a sure Taylor Swift sweep, including this category.

Civilian's taste in "quality" = OPINION!December 27, 2020 at 2:38 pm #1203948288Not as *exhausting* as defending racists but go off I guess. I mean you could like…… not support racists……but I guess it can’t be helped because they just don’t know anything and it’s not their fault anyway. Yes, the hate isn’t in the anti-Blackness and wrongfully using BLM but rather bringing up bts’s racist history. My mistake. That makes a lot of sense. Toodles dear. See you when “Exile” hopefully takes the prize.
Taylor isn’t any better on those standards if you could bear that thought. You’re just too up Taylor’s behind to allow yourself to see other artists in a good light and understand their strife. All you will do is trash without restraint because you stan one artist. No amount of data can make an idiot like you think better.
I do apologize for adding dirt to this thread by sharing Taylor’s past conflicts to mediate the imbalance that this user was again trying to do. I was and am a fan of T.S., along with BTS and Ariana and I do believe Exile, ROM and Dynamite are the strongest contenders. But when Swifties trash other artists with bent reasoning, I cannot stand for that imbalance.

Civilian's taste in "quality" = OPINION!December 26, 2020 at 9:56 am #1203946205I feel bad doing this, because I love T.S., but be responsible for your words, Swifties. Do a check on your biases before bringing up issues that incriminate your own idols.
Let me get ya’ll on a defense streak.

Civilian's taste in "quality" = OPINION!December 15, 2020 at 5:33 am #1203921747OTR and Shallow were bigger than ROM tho. OTR was a monster hit and shallow had a really strong narrative behind it. Regardless, I’m putting ROM in a slight lead over exile because of Gaga and it’s ending up really high on the year end lists. There’s love for it.
ROM and Exile are my top 2 as well now that ROM is consistently high on newer YE lists and even broke The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights record on Billboard (https://www.hollywood.com/music/ariana-grande-lady-gaga-storm-to-top-of-billboard-2020-hits-list-with-rain-on-me-60806405/).

Civilian's taste in "quality" = OPINION!December 15, 2020 at 5:11 am #1203921707I’m not sure how impactful year end lists are but ROM is on a disproportionately high number of lists, atleast much more than what I’d expected and since there’s no push for exile I’m starting to think it’s Gaga’s and Ari’s to lose.
All I can say is Shallow and Old Town Road were on a high number of lists compared to its competition and they are the last two winners of this category.

Civilian's taste in "quality" = OPINION!December 14, 2020 at 11:51 am #1203919563Why you get so rilled up with Exile winning ?
The idea that I or any BTS fan in this forum is mad at Exile winning is nowhere to be seen in any of our posts. It’s all in your head. I repeat for better absorption, the BTS fans on this forum have got Exile at the top based on current analysis of facts. Having it at the top means, “Exile will most likely win”. They are not “rilled up” about Exile.
BTS, despite succesful are not convincing of their musicianship to Grammy voters
Here’s why this is highly opinionated: You aren’t a certified Grammy voter (unless you secretly are) and I presume you have no connection with them. You’re basically speaking for the actual Recording Academy. Who do you think u are sis
It doesnt have the profile of a pop/duo Grammy winner, since pop boybands have always lost this category, including the big boybands of the 90s that were dominating the US charts with huge sales. NSYNC has lost this category 4 consecutive years(2000,2001,2002,2003) We are talking for a boyband that was selling over 2 million copies of albums upon release in USA. Earth-shattering numbers and yet couldnt win a pop/duo category.
This part was all you needed to say to make your point about Dynamite and even BTS fans have agreed to that previously in this forum. Clean it up to the facts, hun.

Civilian's taste in "quality" = OPINION!December 14, 2020 at 10:00 am #1203919187In addition to dynamite doing well commercially and on year end lists, BTS has been in the public eye a lot the past few months at award shows, late night shows, morning news shows, etc. They’ve had covers and articles this year in major publications including TIME, Variety, Esquire, and the Wall Street Journal Magazine. All within these past few months. They got voted the WSJ changemakers award and Time’s entertainer of the year. The last time entertainer was Lizzo who did well at the Grammys that year. Like I keep saying, recency will be a factor this year. BTS will be on the mind of voters and that definitely counts for something. IMO… 1. Exile 2. Dynamite 3. Rain On Me I would not be to surprised if any of those three get the win. I have exile first right now but I also want to see how the album maintains momentum week 2. Also the perception of the song evermore will be of importance.
100% the current case. Unfortunately, putting Exile at the top of our probable winners isn’t enough for hardcore swifties (swipe left, lemon and miss americana, etc.) They want us to look at Exile and only Exile or else they’ll ruin every fact-driven discussion in place.
