I think it’s obvious since Gladys wanted to tour that warehouse that she’s the one causing problems for Sonny’s business and that was so boring I almost fell asleep typing it. However I do like the actress. She’s got great presence.January 20, 2020 at 2:19 pm #1203295430
Oh puberty is so not going to be kind to Nicolas Bechtel because that voice is cracking!January 20, 2020 at 10:38 am #1203295079
We could always preference rank the nominees. If two or more tie, take the reciprocal of their placement on each ballot (I.e. first place is worth 1, second is worth 1/2, third is 1/3, etc.) and of those tied whomever has the greater sum is the winner.January 17, 2020 at 11:38 am #1203289508
I like they’ve brought in Brook Lynn because we need more Q’s. I don’t need Taggert back. He was a lame character for years and this is just boring.January 15, 2020 at 12:10 pm #1203286410
Lanier is 27. Her last nomination was her last year of eligibility in the category.January 8, 2020 at 10:26 am #1203270792
I appreciated Nina’s line about needing a to hit up a liquor store for scotch at that time. I was like DAMN just use the mini bar!January 7, 2020 at 6:51 pm #1203269647
I was really hoping this was a mashup of “Nine” and “Perfect Strangers.” Sadly it’s based on a book so I won’t hear Larry say “Lie Balki. Lie for Italia!”January 6, 2020 at 3:56 pm #1203266882
Genie Francis delivered a master class and was just magnificent in ways few can ever hope to be.
Also I LOVE the twist with Ava at the end!January 3, 2020 at 1:22 pm #1203258363
Nikolas faked his death and tried to have it blamed on Hayden so he could get control of her illegal diamonds? Then Jason who turned out to be Drew got blamed instead?January 2, 2020 at 1:28 pm #1203256890

Did you guys notice the dates on Peter’s paperwork that Anna was looking at on Friday? I didn’t really know what age Peter was meant to be, but apparently he started kindergarten in 1974 and graduated college in 1991, making him around 50? That seems like an odd detail for them to nail down, but I’m wondering if there’s more to that I’m not aware of, since I don’t know Peter’s original history and don’t know too much about Faison.

Regardless of opinions on cats, it doesn’t have to be the best quality of a show, it’s the 4th longest show and therefore people have enjoyed it. This audience should have showed up last weekend.
That was 20 years ago. Usually when you adapt a movie that long after its original run (take for example Dreamgirls) you do a lot to raise positive awareness like for example any local theaters that wanted to do Dreamgirls could do so for free in the year up to the movie coming out. They didn’t do that here and in fact they banked on stars and put out two teasers one derided for its look and the second didn’t even feature any singing (always a giant red flag for a musical). Just because musicals run a long time doesn’t mean they’re gonna hit. A Chorus Line is a prime example because it like Cats is a total botch job. And the only people who seem to genuinely appreciate Cats these days are aging wine moms like the one I’ve got…December 24, 2019 at 5:24 am #1203248588
I wonder if the bit with Lizzo got cut due to just how long update went. Even though the lady vomiting wine over Jost was funny it really should have ended with Jost and Che trading their jokes. That’s always gold. If they wanted a more holiday theme to the show (beyond the 2 live sketches and taped bit) maybe have J Hud as the musical guest since 1) she’s promoting a movie that’s Universal and she’s got the big song in (God help her), 2) she’s got the connection to Murphy from Dreamgirls, and 3) she can sing the hell out of holiday fare:
