If Jack Antonoff wins Producer of the Year, I would not be surprised if Lana takes AOTY. I think she might have more industry buzz than we all think.
Don’t forget Jack has produced many other hits from this eligibility period: Taylor Swift’s Lover and Kevin Abstract’s Arizona Baby

Please, anyone with at least half a brain does not think Camila is a racist. She said stupid comments when she was 15. No one cares. I’ve seen worse shit from certain members on here.
who cares. mediocre and bland music. don’t really care at all. most of these people can run circles over Camilia

Hypothetical question, but if you got to switch 7 by Lil Nas X with any album of the eligibility period, what album would you add to AOTY?

Out of the 56 nominated albums that have been nominated in AOTY, only 8 have been their debut album (H.E.R., Invasion of Privacy, Some Nights, The Hiest, In the Lonely Hour, 7, Cuz I Love You, and well WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP WHERE DO WE GO?), and many had work already out like Cardi B, Lizzo, and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. The front runners of those said artists are/were Invasion of Privacy, In the Lonely Hour, Cuz I Love You and WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP WHERE DO WE GO?. Again, Invasion of Privacy is a rap album and the albums pretty shitty, so I mean that’s really why it didn’t win. They were Gaga for Beck in 2015, so that was the reason why Sam didn’t win, but he could have taking home all of the big general field awards of the night. Not this year when have 3/8 albums being debut albums, something that’s bearely being a huge thing. It makes sense for Billie to win. She’s a edgey huge pop star who is backed by the industry. She has an amazing story and is the future of her generation. Her album is bigger than many of those here, she has a number one, and she is well love within and without her generation. She has Billboards Woman of the Year as well as brought a new energy that has been lacking to the pop stage. She deserves it. Thanks Billie for saving pop.

I don’t see Billie Eilish’s album as being too weird for older voters, I just think that older voters will look past the sonic and visual aesthetic of the album and find it lacking in substance. Older voters = been around long enough to see a lot of trendy new artists and sounds come and go.
if you call “lack of substance” for a 17 year-old who advocates and brings up topics about environmental issues, lack of substance abuse within the music industry and our generation, and suicide prevention, I wouldn’t mind that lacking at all. Plus she’s a trendsetter, not a trend, something refreshing and new in the pop community. #eyelashforAOTY

Both Runaway and Shallow reinvigorated both Kanye’s and Lady Gaga’s careers. You definitely can’t deny either their appeal would be different if they didn’t release each song.

Hey, I typically watch the Golden Globes, but this year feels off as hell. My thing is music atm but movies have always been a constant with me. But all of these winners have not been it. It’s been terrible. Hopefully the bigger awards get better. And happy that Elton John won an award!
