Could have said it nicer lol but I agree but I think the album tracks will have that taylor swift writing skills I know she has.
Taylor has done nothing with reputation. that gives me confidence with anything that proves she has songwriting ability with commercial success. Probably delicate or New Year’s Day but that’s it. And the songwriting is good not great like Red or Fearless.

I don’t think it will be in the final lineup, but I think it’s definitely a contender due to the song’s message.
Honey regardless, this is Taylor Swift’s worst bunch of songs. The songwriting sucks. And the message shouldn’t be important like “Earfquake” that talks about a lgbt heartbreak or a better written song like “wish you were gay” that tackles a way better and interesting topic about being straight and still having to do with the lgbt community.

Beyoncé winning for The Gift would be as underwhelming as Kendrick winning for Black Panther. It’s just simply not the best album of the year, and I’m not here for overdue wins.
I agree, but by all honesty how do pick your AOTY contenders? Normally I just pick the best of the year mainstream wise. And how do you think the NARAS pick their #1 contenders?

Sam and Beyoncé brought it with their releases. Iggy not so much.

So I checked to see if Ariana and Billie could be in attendance due to their tour schedule but it turns out they might not considering some have a concert the next day in Europe. Does that mean the Best New Artist is going to Lizzo while Video Of The Year is going to the Jonas Brothers or Halsey? I feel the JB or Halsey will win cause they are all from New Jersey and the VMAs are going to use that for their advantage and since Billie might not even show up than it could be Lizzo for the win, especially since she has gone to the VMAs before as a interviewer coincidentally.
And this is why the VMA’s are a joke.

1989 won because it sold well and because it’s a pop record. It’s not all about the race!
Honey, Beyoncé released her self titled, so where was her trophy. Or Drake should have token AOTY last year then. Selling well always increases its chances of winning, but being the safe moderate vote can help make everyone happy. Honey the NARAS have always slept on awarding rap artists, and now it’s coming to bite them in the ass when these said artist don’t want to perform at your shows, yet alone be awarded by you.

But to be real, My First Album could be in contention for best children’s album. Meaning Peppa could have more Grammys than Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Björk, Queen, Snoop Dog, Janis Joplin, and Jimi Hendrix. Y’all think she was playing.

What do you y’all think of the new Peppa Pig Album? I think I it could squick out nominations in all catagories in the general field. She’s a lock in ROTY, SOTY, AOTY, BNA.

Perfomence predictions Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello – senorita & maybe mashup of their songs Taylor Swift (opener) – New single Katy Perry – Never really over or new single Cardi B and offset – Press and clout Nicki Minaj – megatron Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrys – Old town road and panini mashup</p> Miley Cyrys – Mothers daughter Daddy Yankee and Snow – Con calma Becky G – Dollar BTS – Idk Lizzzo – Juice As part of push artist performers: Billie Eillish – Bad guy Lewis Capaldi – Someone you loved Maggie Rogers – idk Alec Benjamin – Let me down slowly
This looks like a mess.

The album isn’t bad. I don’t think it’ll be popular as the sound they aimed for is really african and not particularly mainstream in the U.S. I gotta admire her willingness to always try new things, even though this album doesn’t connect well with me.
I don’t think that was her point to appeal to more wider audience that A Star is Born tried to do. I think she wanted to pay homeage to her African roots and to not allow sales or streams bother it. I understand if you were let down for not being mainstream, but that’s not what she was going for. She was authentic with the beats, she didn’t sell out for the coins. She just gave a quality album.

Yeah Lemonade had intros to every song, which explained the concept of Lemonade. Though for this one,the way it was done is just too similar to ASIB. Every few songs there’s an excerpt from the movie dialogues that matches the theme of the next song etc.. Kinda copying imo.. But anyway not a big deal.
I agree with M. But I think that Beyoncé refined it when she added the African precision and beats, the wails. I think that’s one of things I would have changed for both, not add the interludes because it just seems dull and out of place for someone who hasn’t watch the movie. For Beyoncé though, I probably would have just added those parts in front of most of the songs that are after it.

This Gasper Guy I’m calling him out on sight. How dare you call To Pimp A Butterfly overrated, one of the best hip hop, yet alone albums, of the decade. And to compare TPAB to DAMN. is disturbing. Even though he won 6 Grammys with TPAB, he only won against respective artists in his genre. He didn’t win shit against 1989 even though this album concept of coming home after success and how people of your community view you and how black men and women view themselves due to fame and luck. It’s appauling. And imo as a huge Kendrick fan, he didn’t deserve some Grammys for DAMN., especially when Flower Boy was way better than DAMN., ask any hip hop head. Don’t come after Kendrick saying he’s overrated at all. You’re dismissed.

Honey, The Lion King: The Gift is already being overhyped thanks to the Beyhive. It will be declared the AOTY winner just like Everything Is Love was when it first came out last year. Y’all don’t know if y’all are coming or going.
No one is declaring this AOTY yet, it barely came out. Beyoncé just came out with a great album AGAIN. That’s all we are saying. We will see the lasting power this album will have and it’s consistency. And EVERTHING IS LOVE has been overhyped just because it was a joint album that both artists have been in AOTY for the last two years, even though many, including me, overlooked that it underperformed and lacked quality wise. Still had decent bops on there.

my opinion is as important as yours! Who do you think you are?? a grammy member lol. TG is really a good album but no better than lemonade, it will not win with an album that is worse than lemonade.
Never said it would win. I think it could probably be in AOTY and that’s it. And i was referring to her AOTY submission, not winning AOTY. And on your comments about winning are dumb, they obviously don’t want her to win, same with Gaga and Kendrick. It really doesn’t matter though if it’s nominated or not, it’s still a great body of work, despite her not winning it.
