I guess you didn’t see Orange win Cast and Uzo, Viola, Latifah, and esp. Elba x2 win Awards. Oh well, I was paying attention and I noticed! #SAGsodiverse 😉
Diversity isn’t just black and white though. And I’m not taking away from the winners tonight, just the nominations, You have people like Constance Wu, Randall Park, Oscar Isaac, Gael Garcia Bernal, Gina Rodriguez…… etc who should also be recognized for their work.

MY ONLY complaint was the lack of diversity in nominations. Though they have done signifigantly better than the other awards, the serious lack of Latinx, Asian and Native American actors was appaling to me. The fact that they were only seen as worthy to be presenters was bothersome.
SAG like the other award shows have a lot more to do to diversify. Again That’s not to take away from what they have done, which is better than their peers but they should not get complacent as their are areas for them to work on.

And we’re going to have to hear his wailing live. Didn’t he even admit he has trouble singing this song live?

Kevin Hart is seriously the worst.
January 28, 2016 at 9:22 pm #213594Ugh I was seriously hoping they’d ditch the performances this year. It’s my least favorite part of the ceremony.
January 26, 2016 at 7:17 pm #204571I didn’t even nominate Mara and only nominated Vikander for supporting in Ex-Machina, so I’m kinda shocked those two performances made it. I believe most were thinking Mara and Vikander didn’t stand a chance in lead as they weren’t even their top 3 picks.
So happy for all the Ex-Machina nominations!!!! Very ecstatic for all the Inside Out love(Also wish it made best ensemble) Surprised at The Big Short snub as I did vote for it. Sad about MBJ missing but even my votes were Dicaprio, Attah, Tremblay.
Overall better choices, minus a few snubs than, and just a little more diverse than most of these film awards including AMPAS
