I’m now of the belief that Adele and ABBA will split up older voters.

Beyonce will have votes taken away by Mary J. I don’t think Kendrick will take that many votes away from Beyonce. Lizzo won’t take that many away from Beyonce or Harry since she is pop too.

Kendrick could be a dark horse but his era was forgotten

Coldplay. I’m not seeing it.

Brandi could take more votes from Adele as well.

Harry  and Bad Bunny might have a dark horse path

Adele, Beyonce, Brandi, Harry, Kendrick and Bunny are the ones

Mary, Coldplay, Lizzo and ABBA are taking votes away from Adele and Beyonce the most.

This is going to sound crazy but I don’t care my top 6 (since 4 are there to pull votes from the top 6)

1. Brandi
2. Bad bunny
3. Beyonce
4. Adele
5. Harry
6. Kendrick

Mary has enough pull with H.E.R., andersen paak and Alicia keys husband contributing to her material to pull substantial votes from Beyonce.

ABBA has the time in grade. 30 was not that girl and ABBA could drum up a lot more votes to take away from Adele.

So I get why it makes sense for Kendrick to sweep all 4 categories but do we really think God Did is going home empty handed even though it made it into song of the year?

I could see Kendrick getting all 4 with a “tie” to give God did one or 3 to Kendrick and 1 to Khaled. Keeping in mind, I am not a fan of Khaled and am a fan of Kendrick.

It seems a little redundant and expected for them to continue to have a “tie” for subcategories but I’m sure a country category and possible pop category.

Hopefully, none because no matter how much they claim there is no committee I find it hard to believe there isn’t someone with pull to serve as a tiebreaker.

I think Nicki will get a nomination or two but a win for the songs she released this year. Nah.

 

As radio DJ Ebro mentioned (outside of her not-so-exceptional catalog), she lacks the relationships many have to campaign for a win and rally support. It’s not as if she creates Lauryn Hill quality/Missy Elliott creativity.

Don’t burn bridges, and make sure you are easy to work with…it goes a long way.

Yeah, Alicia Keys getting that many wins. I don’t see it. Maybe 1. I’m still not seeing Beyonce get Dance album but overall, the other selections seemed fair.
