The bummer is I do really love Kristen Bell (and The Good Place) but he ruins it.
Agree, I actually don’t like her, but I do like the show in many ways, especially William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, and Manny Jacinto and I’m watching S04 just to see how it ends. But this guy just puts me off saying anything positive about it, it’s obsessive and weird. God I wish Kirby Howell-Baptiste’s Australian accent died when she died. It’s ruining her for me in Barry. It’s improved but still awful and utterly unnecessary (I’m Australian, why tf can absolutely no one in the world do our accent?).November 4, 2019 at 10:16 am #1203165659
Comedy offerings for the Emmys were insane, how did everything just drop off.November 3, 2019 at 11:47 pm #1203165028
I’m currently catching up on Silicon Valley and Insecure and also watching Mr Robot’s current season and Line of Duty’s fifth season. I’m trying with On Becoming a God in Central Florida, does it get better after the first episode? I feel bad I haven’t caught up on OITNB, GLOW, THT and Grace & Frankie’s last seasons as I’ve watched everything of theirs to date.November 3, 2019 at 11:32 pm #1203165026
I don’t think we have a topic like this yet – we do on in the movie forums – but I thought this would be a great place to share with us which shows you are currently catching up on. Last week I finished Fleabag S1&2, which were an absolute joy to watch. Now I’m finally finishing The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel S1. I still have Succession (S1&2), Barry (S1&2) and Pose (S2) on my list. It’ll take a while though until I get through all those; I’m a very slow binger.
Barry should go straight to the top of your list. Half hour episodes x 16 eps + bingeworthiness makes it fly by. It’s freaking excellent.October 20, 2019 at 1:00 pm #1203145015

How in the world does that come off as obnoxious? She was asked about whether she wanted a sequel and she gave an answer. It would different if she just goes around talking about it without being asked, but that clearly isn’t the situation lol.
She alludes top BR being a story about Mary and Freddie, she positions herself as the centre of the story. I also read widely Rami/Boynton/Robot content and let me tell you, in aggregate, she is highly arrogant, privileged and ignorant.October 20, 2019 at 9:41 am #1203144693
Lol I’ve watched a bunch of her interviews and she literally never claimed that but okay!
Here’s one of them ^^October 19, 2019 at 12:54 pm #1203143971
She was good, and she’s stunning, but she just wasn’t given great material. She is a really great young actress though. She was amazing in Sing Street. She deserves a big break out movie role.
Well she’s trying to claim in interviews that Bohemian Rhapsody was all about her, but still no one seems to know who she is. I find her utterly obnoxious and her voice profoundly grating.October 19, 2019 at 12:33 pm #1203143954
<p style=”text-align: left;”>Really disappointing. So many lost opportunities to actually explore what depression and self-improvement mean to a white, middle-aged, middle class suburban man. Instead it glosses over what V2.0 is in relation to his original schlub and just makes it a stupid dickfight bro fest. The wife is utterly unlikeable and miscast despite her one episode where we see why she’s bummed from her POV (because husband, because babies obvs). The ending made me nauseous. The dancing made me queasy. Paul Rudd is a sweetheart though and I’d watch him watching paint dry. Also the editing was interesting.</p>September 22, 2019 at 8:19 pm #1203096716

Has anyone American won tonight?September 22, 2019 at 6:48 pm #1203095302
Immediately muted.September 22, 2019 at 6:44 pm #1203095246
This JLD montage, I just can’t. How embarrassing for them to do this and give it to PWB ugh. This only shows why she should’ve won.
And they had to do it for GoT to appease the audience and remind them why season 8 is not what tonight is about. Hence for Veep too.
