This is my favorite Taylor album since Speak Now. This is the kind of pop that really works for her; She didn’t compromise the specificity in her lyrics from her country music and added cool ’80s-esque production. A huge surprise. Fire the A&R that suggested the first two singles. I wonder how many people will even give the album a chance because of the awful lead singles.
But its too long, axe ME!, YNTCD, I forgot you existed, I think he knows and Miss Americana and Heartbreak Prince, and it would’ve been a perfect album.

Liza Weil deserves so many Emmy noms for her work on Gilmore Girls and How to Get Away with Murder. Hopefully she can pull it off next year!August 20, 2019 at 8:51 am #1203031568
Lizzo is sooo popular. I would be offended if they give her a tribute/random team up performance.August 20, 2019 at 5:00 am #1203031290
Massive congrats to the movie, which has now surpassed both “The Black Panther” and “Avengers: Ultron” to become the 9th highest grossing film of ALL TIME!
We hate to see itAugust 19, 2019 at 10:46 am #1203030170
pitchfork reviews her first five records
somehow feels like a “let’s throw a few positive words at the swifties so they won’t be too mad when we pan the new one”
I disagree, Red is still a mess.
My one sentence reviews:
Taylor Swift is cute. 6.5/10
Fearless justifies her place as a superstar and incredible songwriter. 8/10
Speak Now is a triumph in pop-country songwriting. 8.5/10
Red is emboldened statement that doesn’t always work but has memorable highlights. 6.4/10
1989 is enjoyable but devoid of personality. 7.0/10
Reputation is a big swing and miss in both style and execution. 5.2/10.August 16, 2019 at 7:45 am #1203026336
I don’t know if Tyler Childers or Yola submit to country or Americana. But i hope they get nominated. Indie country acts are saving the genre.August 13, 2019 at 4:27 pm #1203022612
Miley Cyrus has the best voice of her generation. She’s a lousy artist. She still hasn’t found the material that perfectly fits her voice.July 31, 2019 at 6:14 am #1203003696
If Ariana released a summer single from thank u, next, I would predict an AOTY win. She’s lost a lot of momentum. NASA, bloodline, even needy could’ve been a good fall single and possible top 10s.
Now I think it’s the year that Bruce or another veteran wins.July 29, 2019 at 7:11 am #1203000761
Grey Area would be my choiceJuly 26, 2019 at 1:23 pm #1202997252
If baby boomers come out in support of this movie the same way they did for Green Book, then it can. If the backlash to the backlash carries the movie to a PGA win, then I can see a BP win.July 26, 2019 at 1:01 pm #1202997218
So many think pieces…and incredibly average.
Well I guess this is winning Best Picture.July 26, 2019 at 7:38 am #1202996817
I thought that OTR could win ROTY because of its success, but all the remixes are diluting it’s success. It feels like a meme song again.
TUN and Ari seem more like Grammy bait.July 24, 2019 at 7:26 pm #1202994691
Vanguard winners: Missy, Taylor Swift, GaGa, Eminem??, who else????July 24, 2019 at 7:20 pm #1202994683
Watch out for last year’s winner PJ Morton back in Traditional R&B Performance and R&B Song for Say So with JoJo. It’s just as good as his collab with YEBBA last year.July 23, 2019 at 7:36 am #1202991416
I liked the season until the last minute. After fighting so hard to keep up the lie, it didn’t make sense for all of them to turn themselves in. Bonnie, yes, even Madeline makes sense, but ALL OF THEM?!
Celeste said the lie was their friendship, they don’t have an obligation to each other. It made no sense. I’d be happy with this being the last of the series. They have nowhere else to go.
I can’t see it winning Drama Series with the polarized reactions. All of the women have a shot at a nomination, depending on where they submit. I would put Streep and Kidman in Actress and the rest in Supporting Actress.
