If Berry presents Actress is very clear Yeoh is winning, the last time color actress presenting Best Actress this year. WHAT A COINCIDENCE if that happens.
Nobody except PricewaterhouseCoopers knows who’s winning a given category. The people in charge of the show are probably banking on Yeoh winning, but as we saw in 2021…
March 8, 2023 at 9:36 am #1205338327Back to clips:
Michelle Williams HAS to be the scene where she’s watching Sammy’s hidden film in his bedroom closet. I wasn’t crazy about her performance generally, but that’s a hell of a moment.
March 6, 2023 at 10:11 am #1205334770I was swayed by the overwhelming number of ballots for Cruz last year and changed my Chastain pick at the last second.
Never again.
ReplyMarch 28, 2022 at 12:27 am #1204884810Doesn’t matter. Why not include in your post that Polanski should also get his Oscar revoked, in fact why haven’t you made a thread of child rapists and sexual harassers needing to get their Oscars revoked. Triggered by a POC doing a stupid slap on TV, but I bet you’ve never been this fumed by Rapists getting Oscars.
There’s active talk right now about Will Smith’s Oscar being revoked. It’s relevant to tonight’s events in an immediate way. Is it really THAT much of a shock that there would be a thread about it?
ReplyMarch 28, 2022 at 12:13 am #1204884769Funny that you haven’t made a thread about Polanski the child rapist getting his Oscar revoked, but Smith a POC because he did a stupid thing should get a worse punishment than a child molestor.
Polanski didn’t get an Oscar tonight.

For the second year in a row, Yuh-Jung Yoon was one of the highlights of the evening. Can we get her on every year?

March 26, 2022 at 2:42 pm #1204877574Please call me Don. Greetings to you Roma Stan! You are the first person I’ve spoken with that is brave enough to call yourself a fan of Roma. Remarkable. May you have a pleasant Oscar viewing tomorrow.
This is a godawful Trump impression, for the record.
ReplyMarch 26, 2022 at 1:07 pm #1204877451I think the bigger issue is that this isn’t a particularly good Trump impersonation. The cadence is all wrong.
ReplyMarch 24, 2022 at 4:41 pm #1204874441As a Campion and Drive My Car fan, yeah no. And the person is voting for Jesse Plemons lmao.
I meant more for the fact that the voter is so vehemently upset at the Academy. 🙂
March 24, 2022 at 3:58 pm #1204874372^ Finally, a ballot we can all get behind.
March 24, 2022 at 2:42 pm #1204874206Does anyone remember who were the anonymous ballots for last year? Asking because I honestly don’t remember
If I’m remembering correctly, largely Mulligan. Part of why so many of us were sure she’d win.
March 24, 2022 at 9:53 am #1204873620Maybe I’m being swayed by the fun of this process, but I’m changing to Cruz for Actress and Worst Person for Screenplay. There’s no precedent for either of them, guild-wise, but the amount of support they’re getting seems broad and deep.
