I always thought that if Streep couldn’t play her, Sigourney would have made a great Amanda Priestly.September 16, 2021 at 10:44 am #1204463604
This is probably a huge hope-diction on my end, but reviews for “The Good House” all single out how Sigourney Weaver shines in what is a pretty average film. She’s such an icon and the fact that she hasn’t won an Oscar yet is shocking.
You’re not alone here. I hope this happens.September 15, 2021 at 12:08 pm #1204461794
Divine. I want to see more.September 15, 2021 at 11:57 am #1204461730
Im expecting to dislike The Eyes of Tammy Faye, but there is something so riveting about Jessica Chastain raves and alluring performance that makes me compelled to see the film. I hope I am able to see Jessica serve this Friday.
Same here. The enthusiasm expressed by those who have actually seen the film has caused me to seriously reassess Jessica’s chances. I just hope the film itself is not too dreadful and over-the-top.September 13, 2021 at 1:36 pm #1204457817
Is Tammy Faye’s story that compelling? Is the general movie going audience aware of her? And buried in SEPTEMBER with so much good promised?
A Chastain nomination is not happening, sorry.September 13, 2021 at 9:31 am #1204457042
Huns, Chastain is top 3 performance right now and only one that can beat Stewart. Olivia Colman and Penelope aren’t winning a second Oscar. They’ll be filler nominees.
Huh? Why wouldn’t the Academy voters not want to honor Cruz if they think she’s worthy? She won in Supporting over a decade ago….if that’s your point.September 2, 2021 at 4:53 pm #1204431780
Forgot Robert Downey, Jr., nominated in Supporting for Tropic Thunder.April 25, 2021 at 6:44 pm #1204224350

This ceremony is borderline depressing and the WSS clip did nothing to liven it up.April 25, 2021 at 5:28 pm #1204223206
