I have Being the Ricardos (because I’ve got 100/1 odds and I just feel strongly about it) and Tick… Tick… Boom. I chose the latter over Macbeth because I’m predicting Coen to be this year’s director nominee without a correlating Best Picture nomination.

Very happy Belfast had a strong showing! King Richard’s lackluster reception is probably my personal biggest disappointment, but that’s alright. Cheers everyone!

I’m thinking I might take out West Side Story in Editing and replace it with King Richard. If it couldn’t make it in at ACE, then I think it’s Oscars hopes are on the rocks…

Last minute FYC: please consider The Summit of the Gods for Best Animated Feature and Best Score. It’s one of the most beautiful, moving, intimate films I’ve seen this year. The animation itself is seriously awe-inspiring. Disappointed it never got added to the Best Picture ballot. I would’ve voted for it…

You know, after mulling it over further, I’m changing my tune and predicting The Tragedy of Macbeth to possibly nab a slot in Best Picture. I think you guys are right: its late release and solid reception could give it the momentum it needs. I think the last two places are between The Tragedy of Macbeth / House of Gucci / Being The Ricardos / Drive My Car.
