I remember being sooooo incredibly excited after season 1. That excitement has dwindled so much. All the kid characters have become unlikeable because the actors’ persona has taken over from their characters. The magic Millie Bobby brown had in season 1 is sadly not there anymore for me. It just pains me so much because seAson 1 was just sooo good. The problem here is that they believed in their own hype to much.February 14, 2020 at 2:00 pm #1203347155
Between this and stranger things today was a big day of ‘dead although we all knew they were alive’ characters being confirmed aliveFebruary 10, 2020 at 3:06 am #1203341147
Parasite’s director said, I believe, this: “You American people open yourself to read subtitles and a new world will open to you.” Wasn’t that a kind of condescending view of U.S. cinema and the people who go see movies in general?
just stop talking please and go watch your good place show or somethingFebruary 9, 2020 at 6:15 pm #1203338284
Even though it is not in the bigger categories, there are a lot of women winning tonight which is great also knowing Hildur will most likely win scoreJanuary 31, 2020 at 12:18 pm #1203322214
Now that I’ve had time to think on the finale i really liked it but felt like the decisions made by several characters didn’t feel like they had much effect on the whole group. It was like ‘ahh no’ let’s go on. But maybe that felt that way because there were time jumps. Very cool that they decided to go there with the characters. After seeing it, it felt like the only way it could have endedJanuary 31, 2020 at 8:07 am #1203321688
I’m curious if they will do the same thing with Stranger Things. 5 seasons of that show will be more than enough and they should write towards an endgame. Maybe Netflix does not want shows going on for 6+ seasonsJanuary 31, 2020 at 7:15 am #1203321452
NOOOO thats just said. I’m afraid this show not being one of the most watched Netflix shows and it’s big budget played a big part in this decision. It’s just weird to give Imelda one season. They just don’t want this show any longer.January 31, 2020 at 3:15 am #1203321253
The following series of Twitter screen grabs were posted during the series finale up until around 9:35PM ET, for context’s sake. They are from far and wide.
Have you actually enjoyed and paid attention to the finale or been checking the socials the whole evening?January 30, 2020 at 3:41 pm #1203320692
If The Outsider will compete for drama, that is where I see Erivo competing in lead. And she should be lead based on the narrative of the show. But if it will compete for limited series, I can imagine her team convincing HBO to make her supporting to avoid vote-splitting with Genius on lead.
Erivo would be stupid to compete lead in drama. No way she’s getting in in such a crowded categoryJanuary 30, 2020 at 12:21 pm #1203320148
Can Winona Ryder be nominated for ‘the plot against America’?January 25, 2020 at 9:28 am #1203304102

Patty is hands-down the best-written episode of TV, genre irrelevant so far this season. An Emmy (and Hugo, and Ray Bradbury, and 2021 WGA award) for Megan (Amram), indeed. They knew what they were doing when they held her until the very end. But she’s only a cog in the best writers’ room on TV. The quality bar has been raised to Doha Tower in Dubai-esque level. And keep a box of tissues handy for next week. They’re gonna destroy us emotionally.
no. But I really enjoyed this episode. Finally a very good episode in this season. Hope next week will bring this homeJanuary 24, 2020 at 12:44 am #1203301997
