No thanks. I already did, I graduated from high school in a socialist country, 10 years ago.
But you should also check what Karl Marx said about Simon Bolivar, the Venezuelan Hero of Independence.
Adios que solo Dios puede juzgarme.

Interesting: By calling people of colour ‘POC’.
I’m Venezuelan, gay and mixed-race so yeah I shouldn’t really be participating in an American forum. I don’t understand the conversation. Sorry for offending with the Nazi comment. I’m out. Too much politics and no music.

No dude I’m not right wing. I am from Venezuela (a country in South America) and now live in Canada and I don’t really watch any American news. So I didn’t understand what ‘POC’ meant and when I googled it , it was completing it as ‘poc people’ and saw it was an accronym for ‘people of colour’ I found it kinda idk of bad taste. Like why would…[Read more]

Dude because the Nazis had a racial system where they classified people for their race.
If the Grammys want diversity, they should actually diversify into music genres. Yes they say they are gonna nominate 6 albums by black artists in AOTY, and they are all gonna be safe pop sounding albums (i.e. The Weeknd) it’s not like they are gonna…[Read more]

And I think you have no idea what you are saying. Because you said 4-6 POC/Black artists in each category. Now you are saying “more focus on albums and songs by black artists” so I’m guessing that will also be excluding Hispanic, Asians, Native Americans.
You see how ridiculous everything starts sounding when we turn our focus away from music…[Read more]

So if it not in each category then what categories are you talking about? And what do you mean “as a general statement”?
And if Dua Lipa is white then I guess she won’t be nominated for pop. Post Malone is the most likely to take the “token white” in Pop. What do you think?

TonyKuKo replied to the topic 2021 Grammy Predictions (Part 43) in the forum Music 4 months ago
In each category? I guess that’s a no go for Betty in Best Country Song. I doubt she’ll be the only white person in the country field. Those would be The Highwomen.
Also will Dua Lipa qualify as POC? I sure hope so otherwise Post Malone will be the only white in pop.

“Feel It Still” the only actual good song in this list.

Get Real! Folklore will be nominated for AOTY (and so will Future Nostalgia)

Espero que se cumplan las predicciones de Lido Pimienta para AOTY porque de verdad que Miss Colombia es un excelente album. Para mi es el album del a#o. Pero, si tendra suficiente apoyo fuera de la onda alternativa?

TonyKuKo replied to the topic 2021 GRAMMY Rock/Alternative Contenders (Part 1) in the forum Music 4 months, 1 week ago
Great line-up! but yeah like RatedRStarZ said the spoilers list is more likely.
Rina Sawayana might not be accepted into Metal, might just be moved to rock. Poppy is the most likely female contender in metal. But then again, I just don’t believe artists like Rina or Poppy would ever get enough support to be nominated in any category.

Considering we’ve seen appearences by Blink 182 and The Cranberries despite they were snubbed during their peak of their careers. I wouldn’t rule out 7x Grammy winner Alanis Morissette.
Remember last year she released the 25th edition of Jagged Little Pill, performed with Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift so she might be in the radar.
The album “Such…[Read more]

True.
Now something to consider is they are also desperate for ratings and Post might bring more viewers than The Weeknd or Dua. I wouldn’t completely rule him out of AOTY

TonyKuKo replied to the topic The TAYLOR SWIFT Thread (folklore era) in the forum Music 4 months, 1 week ago
I don’t think Taylor can actually do political songs, they just don’t feel genuine. And I’m not saying oh ‘cuz she’s white privilege’, not at all. And I have the same feelings for her edgy vindictive pop on Reputation, it’s hard to relate to that. Honestly, I think Folklore is her best album. I mean one thing that most people cant deny is that…[Read more]

TonyKuKo replied to the topic H.E.R., the Most Submitted Artist of 2021? in the forum Music 4 months, 1 week ago
LOL I doubt that Cats will be submitted anywhere plus she “distanced” herself from the project so I wouldn’t count on “Beautiful Ghosts” on any category. Also, I don’t think Taylor can be nominated for Producer of the Year for producing for herself. Taylor’s submissions might look something like this:
Folklore – AOTY, PVA
Cardigan – ROTY, SOTY,…[Read more] - Load More
