I wish more people cared about this show because it has such a deep bench of actors and would 100% be worthy of a sag ensemble nom. Even when you take away the leads (that Matthew and Juliet scene at the end was great) you have Paul Raci, Hope Davis, Jen Tullock, Shea Whigham, Katherine Waterston etc adding so much this season.

She’s coming.
ReplyMarch 17, 2023 at 7:07 pm #1205355980It’s still insane to me that they didn’t at least give out Everything is Bellmore too. I definitely think the Susie monologue and Lenny sighting would’ve helped reviews a bit more.
March 16, 2023 at 9:13 am #1205354027I really hope the Diplomat is good. Society needs to see Keri and Matthew both nominated at the Emmys again.
March 10, 2023 at 1:52 pm #1205342018Because they have to serve a two time Emmy winner (Goldstein) and two time Emmy nominee (Temple) and give them material to sink their teeth in to (one of whom has the unique position of sitting in the writers’ room)?
And they did that fine in season one? I’m sorry for thinking there are better ways to service their talents and chemistry?
March 10, 2023 at 7:45 am #1205341494I’m already dreading those episode lengths. If the show didn’t need them in season 1 to be good, why are we doing this? I was annoyed by it when it started happening in season 2 as well. I agree about Roy and Keeley. They’re one of my favorite parts of the show and I don’t understand why they’re now the source of unnecessary drama.
March 10, 2023 at 7:06 am #1205341428I wonder if they just don’t have more episodes finished enough for viewing yet. I think they got 8 for season 2 reviews? But friends who have screeners got episode 1 first then 2 a couple days later and 3&4 this week. Although, I know some of the season 2 eps they got still needed VFX so who knows.
March 7, 2023 at 7:01 am #1205335826Agreed, I loved this premiere and hate that HBO shifted it to Monday after being off for almost three years. I’m so glad we’re in the courtroom more. It was very beautifully shot too, and I could see everything which seems like a lot to ask for these days. I hope Matthew is able to make it in, but I’m not sure who he potentially knocks out. Jeff Bridges?

March 1, 2023 at 9:56 pm #1205328586The Maisel social accounts have been posting videos looking back at all the seasons this week. I’m assuming an announcement is coming.
March 1, 2023 at 9:27 am #1205327734Feeling vindicated as a Daisy Jones book hater. “Watching Daisy Jones & The Six is a bit like buying a Fleetwood Mac T-shirt from Urban Outfitters” is exactly what it felt like reading it as well and the changes some of the reviews mention make it seem even worse off.
February 27, 2023 at 8:15 am #1205322137he’s coming
February 21, 2023 at 8:46 am #1205312161I assumed Poker Face was a comedy before I watched then when I did I was like “oh this is so not a comedy wow” and yet here we are lol
February 15, 2023 at 12:27 pm #1205304920As someone who followed Maisel filming pretty closely, I would bet on Hsu being guest eligible for the final season along with Kirby. From my understanding, they were not on set a lot and off filming other things plus Stephanie was doing a lot of awards press for EEAAO. The final season has 9 episodes too so I can’t see them exceeding 4.
