Isabelle Huppert is a huge fan of BLL, I’d kill to have her in the cast. Since she’s French, she could be the nanny’s sassy, hypersexual mother who’s angry at Renata for not paying her daughter sufficient dues, despite providing Gordon “stress management” solutions.

As much as I love Bjork, I don’t think she was ever in serious awards consideration last 2000. “Dancer in the Dark” is certainly a more impactful film than “Breaking the Waves”, yet Watson was able to receive a nod for the latter despite being relatively unknown.
I guess most voters didn’t really think much about Bjork’s performance, other than it’s Bjork playing herself. Renee Zellweger in “Nurse Betty” and Michelle Yeoh in “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” were probably the next in line.
