Between this and Ramy in your comedy one, you have taste
It’s our job to stan seasons of shows no one gives a damn about 😭

ReplyMay 29, 2023 at 12:05 pm #1205444768It’s an unpopular opinion at this point but I actually liked the Yellowjackets season finale. This season reminded me of Killing Eve season 2 where the quality of its first season was not there but it was still an enjoyable show. I hope the future seasons don’t turn out as bad as Killing Eve did.
ReplyMay 25, 2023 at 7:21 am #1205440731They may only have 5 episodes eligible but I think The Other Two is my favorite comedy of this cycle. The amount of times this season has made me actually laugh is more than all the other contenders combined (apart from maybe Abbott Elementary).

I second this. Both outstanding in their own way, though.

ReplyMay 17, 2023 at 8:25 am #1205431107A SMASH Light totally deserves nods across the board, I didn’t watch 5/6 yet, but so far it’s a masterpiece.
I’m gonna wait so I can binge the entire show but I really hope I enjoy just as much as everyone else, I think it’s the only show from this season that I haven’t seen a single argument against it.
May 12, 2023 at 8:53 am #1205427599Hiam Abbass and Ramy Youssef should be getting nominations after their phenomenal performances in Ramy season 3.
ReplyMay 6, 2023 at 8:58 am #1205422415At least Ted Lasso has some final season episodes that can go above 8.1 on IMDB
I just remembered this argument being used against Mrs. Maisel just three days ago. Life… sometimes it can be beautiful. ♥

LMAO, I had to check again if it was really you writing this. I’m so proud of your hater era!
May 3, 2023 at 8:47 am #1205419855I do agree that Hahn’s performance in Tiny Beautiful Things is a little similar to her performance in Mrs. Fletcher, but it’s simply just not her fault that both characters demanded her to go to the same place acting wise. She did a brilliant job both times.
May 1, 2023 at 8:34 am #1205417836I’ve been predicting Merritt Wever even though I don’t have Kathryn Hahn in because I think the category is empty enough and she’s both familiar enough to voters and the show is seen enough for her to get in this year. But then I remembered her Unbelievable snub and now I’m nervous.
2020 was such a strong year, though. I feel like Wever, Dever and Witherspoon would all be nominated if their shows were from this or last year’s cycles.
I’m not predicting her because I don’t think enough people will care about Tiny Beautiful Things, but if her snub in 2020 is your concern, don’t be nervous!
April 30, 2023 at 9:46 am #1205415021Halfway through Dead Ringers and I’m afraid I’m gonna need Ali Wong and Rachel Weisz to tie.
