Johnny Jewel & Saoirse Ronan song “Tell Me” (it was used in the last scene) entered iTunes charts in some countries. The biggest gain was in the UK where it was in Top 40 (currently at #46).
Ratings for s.3 were fairly consistent. Compare to last year, they lost some viewers, but young demo (18-49) stayed on decent level. Most…[Read more]
After seeing the whole season I think the show is still fairly competitive in acting noms and some below the line, like Production Design…maybe even Cinematography.
Wrting is out of the reach, I think, tho for the sake of it, they should submitt one of the two episodes: Meetings Have Biscuits (Laura) or Are You From Pinner? (Suzanne)

For real! This is so stupid.
I hate this!
oh really? Well, it was the best episode of the season (together with 3×3) so I’m not surprised.
The name of the actress who played the mother was Evgenia Dodina, a lagend in her own right. It was only fair that someone as amazing as her would play the mother and I’m not surprised that Comer was so happy with that casting.
I just love surprises like this one.
Still five episodes to watch, but I’m enjoying this tremendously. I actually wasn’t planning to watch it, because I’m not a fan of the lead actor, but he is doing a really good job here. Likeable, and has a very easy and natural chemistry with his co-star.
Agree re world building. They do not overwhelm…[Read more]
Waller Bridge’s creation of Villanelle relied on the fact that she was supposed to be this almost otherworldly creature. One that can get away with anything: beautiful, charismatic, childish, great clothes etc.
Brutal, but vulnerable and funny. Impossible to read or classify.
It was all about making her likable, so the viewers can understand -…[Read more]
I think they are out too, but if I’m being honest, I really think the power of Sandra Oh name will come through and even with poorly received season, she will somehow get in in that last place.
It’s just a hunch really, but I won’t be surprised if that happens.
I remember how last year, after Emmys lazy journalist (or blogger?) started that rumor and everyone ran with it. Meanwhile all they had to do was to listen again to Phoebe’s podcast where she said she wanted to guest star in s.1, but didn’t have time.
Later, one article transform this quote into Phoebe talking about s.3 and it snowballed from…[Read more]
I assume it was because the episode was built not around time (it was non-linear structure) or place (they jump from one city to another very fast), but around the characters and their choices or where those choices has lead them.
It was more style over substance, tho.
But this episode for sure killed the old Eve. She was barely there, but…[Read more]

Yeah, I think it’s too quiet around this show. In the context of awards that’s not a good thing. It’s not a dealbreaker of course, but this is going to be rough road for them.
Which is painful, because after “Ready or Not” I was planning to watch the whole thing mostly for her. Anyway, I watched the first two episodes and that will be it for me. That was not good: corny, dull and complacent. For a show that looks so rich and is so colorful, the first two episodes were oddly lifeless.

I regularly rewatch Avatar and Korra. One of the most important TV shows of my life.
Honestly, the fact that they don’t rush things is a good sign. It really is. I’m scared as hell, because the whole Avatar universe means so much to me, but I’m also hopeful, because those guys are really smart and thoughful.
Riley’s review pretty much confirmed my suspicions. I was looking forward to this only bc of Joanna Kulig, but even from the trailer it looked like a TV show that I will force myself to watch it and then I’ll give up after max two ep.
I thought Comer was fantastic in this ep, but that’s because the script really started to break into Villanelle’s character a little bit more. It’s always tricky with character like Villanelle.
Do I even want to know more about her? Want her to change? But this episode was treading those waters rather successfully, and in an episode full of…[Read more]
well, shiiiit, I actually stopped watching during s.3 (pretty much at the very beginning of that seasons), but I’m guessing I can survive that season for the greater good.
Yeah, i’m totally in “Homeland” mood right now. Gonna start from s.1 this weekend.
I thought this ep was great from start to fisnih. Funny, but in a very dark and nihilistic way. Directed by Miranda Bowen and she really lead the ship with steady hands. The scene with Carolyn in a car – very well made. All three actors (Sandra, Jodie, Fiona) in very good form.
Bus scene: dreamy, cringy, funny, brutal. Utterly bizzare, but in a…[Read more]
