The way everyone on Twitter is making fun of bts losing for the third time in a row is sending me. People are so petty 🤣 🤣 🤣 .
February 5, 2023 at 6:02 pm #1205290497From DAY 1 I said that Unholy was being underestimated & look what happened. It WON!!!! I feel so vindicated. I’m usually never right but I knew this song was going to be a winner for sure.
ReplyFebruary 4, 2023 at 4:03 am #1205283352But only 14 performances in total. I suppose it’s because the Hip-hop Tribute will be so long.
Unless they add 16 more which I don’t think that they will.
ReplyFebruary 4, 2023 at 12:20 am #1205283285Is that all of the performers outside of the secret superstar female performer Trevor Noah was talking about (most likely Beyonce)? With all of the tributes and such the Grammy’s is looking at 54/55 performers in total. That’s a lot.
ReplyFebruary 2, 2023 at 9:06 pm #1205281828Did you get jilted by a BTS fan or something? I haven’t seen a single comment from you about BTS that doesn’t sound extremely bitter. Who hurt you?
It probably does sound “bitter” to you because everyone who doesn’t love bts automatically hates them. D-e-l-u-s-i-o-n-a-l! You claim to be older than dirt but are you really obsessed with a boy band at your big age? That’s hilarious.
For the love of all that is good in this world, put your hate boner away before you put your eye out…
What I said is a fact and can literally be looked up on Billboard right now. I notice you didn’t disagree with what I said because you know it’s true so you basically deflect and go into your typical stop hating bts spiel. Be mad at the chart fraud not me.
ReplyFebruary 2, 2023 at 8:00 pm #1205281779Kiss Me More had more longevity in the charts. Butter was mostly streamed by dedicated stans, and therefore not many outside of the fandom knew it.
“Butter” was complete chart fraud. The song itself plus it’s 100 additional remixes were mass bought by delusional, obsessed stans. Even Billboard called it out and questioned bts about it. That’s probably why the song didn’t win.
ReplyFebruary 2, 2023 at 7:54 pm #1205281771There are many artists with “massive” fan bases yet they don’t spam under prominent social media award accounts. That’s probably because the artists they support actually win more than fan voted awards. Deep down they know the truth and it bothers them even if they try to pretend like it doesn’t.
ReplyFebruary 1, 2023 at 11:14 pm #1205280500???? Oscar, BAFTA, Emmy, Tony… They’ve won all the awards fans can vote for, but when it comes to industry acknowledgment, it’s a big fat 0 lol.
What?!!!! You mean they haven’t won the EGOT yet? I’m shocked.
I’m just sicked and tired of the oversensitive bts fans whining and complaining whenever anyone voices an opinion they don’t like about bts. Yes, people are allowed to defend the artists that they stan but why do you people always have to go into victim mode? As if all other artists don’t get treated the same way. Get over yourselves. You’re not special and we don’t care.
THANK YOU!!!!!
ReplyFebruary 1, 2023 at 9:37 pm #1205280397I kind of agree with this. I just can’t wrap my head around the idea of ‘Unholy’ winning a Grammy… Granted, I would rather BTS not win a Grammy because their fans will be insufferable about it lol, but I think Coldplay’s name is a big draw here. Edit: Just saw the GD editors seem to think Abba’s got this in the bag???? Is it because they’re Abba and don’t yet have a Grammy? What a shocking upset that’ll be. Poor Abba will have to deal with the wrath of BTS fans.
“Unholy” is the biggest song out of the nominations and Sam/Kim Petras are both performing at the Grammy’s. Now we all know that a performance doesn’t equal a win but all the cards seem to be stacked in favor of Unholy, outside of the Grammy’s wanting to honor ABBA. Pop D/G will probably be the only category that ABBA can win. Also, ABBA is a super group with timeless music that is still being listened to 50+ years later. I don’t think that a bunch of whiny, delusional bts Twitter fans will bother them that much. If anything I’m more concerned about how the Beyhive will react if Adele beats Beyonce for Album of the Year again. If that happens I’m logging of of Twitter for a week.
ReplyFebruary 1, 2023 at 7:12 am #1205279278Every comment of Aribaby in this forum is about shitting on BTS. Literally every fucking one. Gurl is just the opposite of Ambriosa, but not in a good way…
What 🤣 🤣 🤣 ? This is a Pop predictions forum and most of my comments have been about predictions & the fact that I believe that “Unholy” will win. Since before Grammy nominations were announced, I was saying that the song was being underestimated. However, I still believe that there is a possibility that ABBA or Coldplay/bts may win. Perhaps you’re a bts fan which is why you’re so triggered but if you can’t handle other people’s opinions about your group then I suggest you don’t come here or just stay in the bts thread where it’s safe.
Okay? Every fandom mass streams including Gaga and Ariana stans. It’s not BTS fault that they have more fans. Spotify also filters mass streaming. The point is that Dynamite is the bigger song and this is obvious. Claiming their loss at the Grammy’s was because of mass streaming has to but plain trolling btw
Not what I said but alright. I believe their loss was mainly due to how the Grammy’s view boybands both in the past and now. Also, the quality of the song wasn’t very good but that’s neither here nor there. All in all, “Dynamite” still lost.
ReplyJanuary 31, 2023 at 7:54 am #1205275842But Dynamite has far more streams too. Almost 3x more than Rain On Me has on YT and Spotify combined. Dynamite also has nearly the same amount of streams from Japanese streaming services alone than Rain On Me has total on global Spotify. It also has far better streaming longevity on top of those massive sales
I can’t speak for the Japanese fans but I know for a fact that their U.S. fans were mass streaming in addition to mass buying (ie their “massive sales”). It was all over Twitter. “Dynamite” was TERRIBLE but their fans didn’t care because it was bts. The Grammy’s obviously cared because bts didn’t win.
not really, Grammys still don’t take boy bands srly, getting a nom is a feat i didn’t think they would achieve, it has nothing to do with the fandom….
I wasn’t surprised they received a nom(s) because other boybands have been nominated in the past ( NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Westlife etc.). Plus, the landscape of music has changed a lot and their are many non-American artists who have been nominated before. I don’t think that fandoms are the main reason why boybands aren’t taken seriously by the Grammys but they certainly don’t help. They are just one part of the boyband stereotype.
ReplyJanuary 30, 2023 at 5:56 pm #1205275345Dynamite was absolutely bigger than ROM, fraud or not.
Perhaps, but I don’t think that did bts/Dynamite any favors. Having an obsessed fandom fraudently mass buy your song to #1 only reinforces the generic Pop boyband stereotypes even more. The Grammy voters weren’t fooled and that’s probably a major reason why “Kiss Me More” beat “Butter” the following year. Anyways, here are my final pop predictions.
Pop Album : Harry’s House (Harry Styles)
Pop Solo: Easy On Me (Adele)
Pop Duo/Group: Unholy (Sam Smith & Kim Petras)
Pop Traditonal:Thank you (Diana Ross)
ReplyDecember 9, 2022 at 9:51 pm #1205186041I still think it’s Unholy vs Don’t Shut Me Down with “Unholy” winning in the end. That song is EVERYWHERE. However, it would be interesting if they did a reverse “Kiss Me More”. I guess we’ll see.
ReplyNovember 20, 2022 at 8:52 am #1205161007Pop voters won’t give a shit that ABBA hasn’t won before, they probably don’t even remember that they don’t have a Grammy Unholy was peaking at the right time to get a BPDGP on such a short notice, however, it didn’t get into ROTY or SOTY and this is Sam Smith’s first nomination in over 6 or 7 years, everyone has been telling that BPDG was weak enough for anyone to get a nomination My Universe is the biggest hit, it hit #1 at the hot 100 and the band who sings it has 7 Grammys and is currently at the AOTY battle, i don’t even know what we are debating here
“My Universe” is/was not a “hit” 😂😂😂. It came and went and was only #1 on the Hot100 because of multiple remixes, mass buying and delusional fans. We all know the drill by now. “Unholy” & “I Like You” have more longevity and are currently in the top ten of the Hot100 as we speak. At the end of the day, “My Universe” winning is going to come down to Coldplays & bts’s name recognition and that alone.
ReplyNovember 18, 2022 at 7:07 pm #1205159821I went and looked at the list of Music Video submissions and Beyonce did submit for Music Video. Yet To Come was nominated over Beyonce, Bad Bunny, Mary J. Blige, Brandi Carlile, Lizzo, Ed Sheeran and many others. I honestly think that their in person performance last year caused a lot of their peers in the US music industry who may have overlooked them in the past to respect and appreciate just how talented and hard working they are. I think that’s ultimately what led to the MV nomination and it’s also why I think they have as good a chance as anyone else this year.
Didn’t Beyonce submit the live performance of “Be Alive”? This is what I said, “YTC probably wouldn’t have made it into BMV if Beyonce had released & submitted a MV from Renaissance”. I still stand by that. If Queen Bey had submitted any MV from Renaissance she would have easily gotten in and would probably win. Also, despite bts’s Grammy performance the song “Butter” was/is still terrible. I honestly don’t think that the Grammy voters see bts as any less of a generic, cookie cutter boyband because of their Butter Grammy performance than they did initially. This time they are with Coldplay though and that should help them a lot and increase their chances.
