This was a good episode but still too much Geraldine. Even Carolyn is like ‘Dear Geraldine, I think it’s time you left’ in the next episode.May 19, 2020 at 6:00 am #1203489533
I skipped over her scene with Geraldine. I honestly couldn’t care less.
I liked Carolyn more when they didn’t focus so much on her family problems. Many of her scenes are so dull and repetitive, we just see her having the same conversation with her daughter over and over again. I’m all for developing other characters but many of these scenes are fillers and prolonged for no reason while the backbone of the show- Eve and V’s connection- is being neglected.May 17, 2020 at 10:14 am #1203486227
Sometimes it’s just about quality over quantity. For example Hopkins’ iconic and overpowering performance simply transcends time.May 17, 2020 at 5:21 am #1203485883
I love that she takes risks even if it doesn’t always pay off. I have a lot of respect for this type of actors. Probably why I’ve never warmed up to DiCaprio.May 17, 2020 at 5:10 am #1203485860
Comer is not missing. Just stop… it’s embarrassing.May 11, 2020 at 12:03 pm #1203476448
the difference is that jodie only delivered in one episode while HBC only HAD one episode 😭
You make it seem like she was awful in the other episodes and that’s not the case. She was fantastic in the third episode as well and this season is not over. Anyway I think Jodie deserves to get nominated but I’m still rooting for Laura to win.May 11, 2020 at 5:27 am #1203475628
It’s fine, but what you said about Peele really rubs me the wrong way and I hasn’t seen you say anything like that before. I wasn’t accusing you of anything, just took issue with what you said. Continue to post though!
Sorry to interfere but almost everything rubs you the wrong way.May 11, 2020 at 4:24 am #1203475567
That last train scene was really powerful…Jodie ain’t playing.May 6, 2020 at 1:12 am #1203466123
I actually think this season is better than the second one but I’m in the minority. Anyway I’m pretty sure they are supposed to end up together just like in the books. Judging by what is happening right now it’s where they are heading most probably with them teaming up against the Twelve and finding solace in each other. So I get why they went for four seasons because getting them to that point needs to happen unhurriedly and in a certain way. It’s a slow burner.May 4, 2020 at 5:33 am #1203461884
I mean obviously Oh’s continued involvement is all conjecture but I can see how they’re potentially setting up a diminished presence with that ending of the most recent episode. There’s a lot of compounding trauma. Can somebody please explain the purpose of Gemma Whelan’s character to me? I really dislike her and she adds nothing. Whatever they’re setting up between her and Konstantin I have no interest in. Shaw and Oh MVPs, once again, I also really enjoyed Harriet Walter in this episode. Comer – weirdly – is still doing nothing for me. Try as they might, I think part of the problem is they can’t really surprise the audience anymore. I’ll continue to watch but I do struggle to see why there is a season 4 unless some big changes are planned.
Looks like V’s falling prey to flanderization. They’ve been exaggerating her childish and quirky side to the point of her losing her mind and being totally erratic. She’s shown some lucidity and real evolution in the third episode and that’s about all. I hope they are not turning her into a cartoon.April 20, 2020 at 5:08 am #1203436557
This season is FIRE. They are delivering episode after episode. I seriously don’t understand why some people don’t like it and would prefer that messy second season.April 13, 2020 at 4:12 am #1203423905
Already not a fan of the first episode of Season 3 and especially of the decision the writers made with its ending.
It was kind of necessary if you think about it. What happened to Kenny was probably the only thing that could bring Eve back into investigating the Twelve.April 5, 2020 at 3:07 pm #1203411437
I’m done with the whole season. Laura Linney ruled it. She’s gonna be a huge contender. Riley is right about how episode 9 should be her tape. Tom Pelphrey was also great. This is their best one yet and the fourth season is gonna be exciting. I can see two more seasons for the show.
She’s winning this and it’s not even close.
