I’ll have to wait to hear more about it, but Neon knows what they’re doing and the film has been raved about. I can see a world where they are able to get it into, say… Picture, Director, Actress and if it’s eligible International. Probably it won’t get that far, but I think Neon and critics will give it a solid push to get there. I think we could see a fair bit of crossover with Cannes and the Oscars this year. Obviously Flower Moon gets in to Picture, but there are chances for Zone of Interest, Anatomy of a Fall, and May December to make it in too. They got 3 in last year, so this year could be similar given the calibre of the competing films.
Screenplay too, no? I think the writers would go for this.

Eh I think both her movies ending with the biggest prizes at Cannes helps her more in a way. She needs to do well with the trifecta though.

I’m gonna root so hard for Gladstone… ❤️

I’m afraid it’s gonna pull a GOT with the ending too and we’re gonna get Cousin Greg as CEO or something.
April 25, 2023 at 12:44 pm #1205410222I hope he goes Guest. That’s where he belongs.
April 24, 2023 at 4:07 pm #1205409208With Culkin going lead, all of Macfadyen, Ruck, Braun and Skarsgard could easily happen in Supporting.

ReplyApril 24, 2023 at 10:32 am #1205408671Will Skarsgard be in enough episodes for supporting? He would be great for drama guest actor.
He’s the big bad wolf now so I think so.

April 16, 2023 at 9:29 am #1205392441There´s been like dozens of tv shows and films depicting those women (the three queens, I mean) in the last 50-60 years people can watch if they are such purists. What´s wrong with a little switch-up? That´s what remakes are for as long as they don´t modify the heart and main sense of the story. It´s historical fiction, not the History channel.
They are basically erasing her entire Macedonian ancestry/identity lol but whatever. As long as people realize it’s bullshit…
