She should have been an Emmy nominee too!

Are you in the UK? Because I have to agree this has happened here and it’s alarming!

Margo Martindale is overrated!
So I had a quick look at the combinations of award and precursor wins for shows that have won Comedy and Drama Series over the past five years.
2015 : Game of Thrones – 2 TCA nominations 2015 (Program of the Year and Achievement in Drama) , GG nomination (2016), 2 SAG nominations (2016)
Emmys Above the Line (wins i…[Read more]

I can’t wait for these to all win their Series categories without having the least acting support of all their frontrunner competitors and largely with the overwhelming support of the writers!
Updated Comedy S. Actress predictions (they can in be any order IMO after Annie Murphy and the Maisel ladies) :
1. Alex Borstein
2. Jane Lynch
3. Marin Hinkle
4. Annie Murphy
5. D’Arcy Carden
6. Yvonne Orji
7. Kate McKinnon
8. Betty Gilpin
9. Emily Hampshire
10. Hiam Abbass
11. Jameela Jamil
That’s a good point. However he has distinguished himself amongst people in the industry for actually acting quite well in some films (i.e. Gifted) and don’t forget he received some of the strongest reviews of the Knives Out ensemble and some of that films leftover buzz could help him here.
Also for your NGNG pick I’d recommend going for either…[Read more]
I just want to echo comments from earlier about Netflix and HBO’s campaign strategy differences. It makes sense that the fact both Ozark and The Crown are locked is why Netflix isn’t campaigning a lot right now and HBO is campaigning a lot for the nominations. Last year HBO had nominations for GoT locked across the board and didn’t campaign for…[Read more]
Turns out the Limited categories aren’t going to be so barren next year. On top of The Undoing (HBO), Boys (HBO Max), Stateless (Netflix), Fargo (FX), Genius (NatGeo), Lovecraft Country (HBO), I May Destory You (HBO), A Teacher (FX on Hulu), The Good Lord Bird (Showtime), Small Axe (Amazon), A Comey Rule (Showtime) and The Third Day (HBO) we a…[Read more]

I know this is the wrong place to put this but after watching the first two episodes of Stateless and re-watching her clip in Unknown Caller I really will feel so MAD if Yvonne gets snubbed this year and/or doesn’t break into the precursors and WIN ALL OF THEM for Stateless. One of the best actresses working on television today.

I just saw the first two episodes of Stateless and I must say so far it’s probably the best thing I’ve seen on TV this year. I’m so glad this aired after the Emmy deadline because I don’t want to see Strahovski have to face Regina King, Cate Blanchett, Reese, Kaitlyn and Merritt in an already crowded race with lots of deserving performances.
But they also broke through into Series and Writing.
The point is I don’t see how Carden’s snubs can be used against her when we’re in a different playing field than last year. I mean Gillian Anderson failed to get a nomination at the BAFTAs where Sex Education competed in Comedy so to me that says everything (and I’m really not biased here…[Read more]
I really think we’re overestimating Aaron Paul. He literally got shut of every precursor including the Critics Choice Awards (where he went from a win to a snub). I mean if the critics (who love Breaking Bad more than anyone) nominate Rhea Seehorn at TCA but shut El Camino out completely and nominate Plemons and give El Camino the win at CC but…[Read more]
